I never thought much about his giving her the trophy until she remember it during their shaadi. It's cute that it had meaning to Anokhi.

My take on today's episode:

Shaurya:

Looking in askance at Anokhi when the latter is dancing, As if saying, Oh here she is the girl who tainted my shirt 😲

The shock he had when he heard his mother was there. He is definitely a master at hiding his emotion. I felt sorry for him especially when Anokhi mentioned the support and guidance she received from Asthaa, when he should have had it as the son.

I feel bad for him too. It's so understandable that he's envious of Anokhi's relationship with Aastha. How must it feel like to learn that your mother not only chose her career and walked away from you, but also has replacement children that she's mentoring and giving your share of love and attention to.

By the way, why did he remove his hand when giving the trophy to Anokhi? Is it because he does not like this 'pindu' girl or did he feel an electric shock, 😉?

Now for Anokhi, she was looking so cute and innocent as a college girl, enjoying her student life. To think the background she is from, she has the courage to pursue at the expense of getting beaten up later.

Imagine the heartbeats of all these young girls when they checked who the chief guest was and this lovely handsome hunk walks up the stage. They were all starry eyed. But then the dream was shattered to pieces when Shaurya gave his speech about the family being the most important. Maybe Ankhi was expecting a congratulatory remark and encouragement but instead THIS! She looked so disappointed in him.

Now for Asthaa, She could not stop fulfilling all her yearning for her son. I am happy she indirectly gave back to Shaurya about a woman having the capacity to be the homemaker and having a career.

I loved seeing that yearning look of Aastha's. Her shock in seeing him first and then stealing those glances and then attempting to talk to him on stage as well. She doesn't know the extend of his misunderstanding or hatred yet.

By the way, where does the men of the house come into a family. Often, men take credit for the success of their children, but how can they do that if they believe, especially the Sabherwals, if they do nothing in terms of family life? Quite a contradiction here.

Asthaa expecting her son to be mature and understand the situation from another perspective is funny. She knows the Sabherwal men, She knows what type pf woman BM is, and she expects her son, whom she has not seen for 25 years to understand her? Is she expecting the Sabherwal to have brought up Shaurya differently?

It is good to see that Gaytri did not immediately agree with BM when the latter was talking about having a career. If we have a season two, it would be nice to have both Kanchan and Gaytri speading their wings..

Now for Shaan, He has no spine. He looks like the proverbial rich boy, who fell in love, has a very dominant elder brother on wjom he can count, and cannot be bothered with responsibility or accountability.

When a serious matter of Asthaa taking up her job to support her parents, he was playing with Shaurya like, there is no problem on the horizxon.

Asthaa was definitely very disappointed in him. he did not give her any support.😡

To me Aastha's disappointment in Shaan mirrored Shagun's disappointment in Shaurya. Not seeing these men stand up for what's right. Shaan had the audacity to agree with his brother instead of standing up for his wife and then walking out with her.

Shaurya's muteness is more due to his hurt and anger with Shagun. Thank God they were only engaged so they could walk away from each other, unlike Aastha that left behind a husband and child.

Omg!! What a great start to the episode. SS quickly realises the girl who collided is a student. At least the performance brought a faint smile on Shaurya Sabherwals otherwise serious, sulky face. He seems to enjoy the dance as whenever the camera zooms on his face you can see the same faint smile. On the other hand we see an overwhelmed mother stealing glances at every possible moment and filled with pride and joy to see her son a grown up man. Which mother wouldn’t? The sad part being that she for known reasons can’t face him.

Then comes the proudest moment for a mother to receive award which she is scared of and hesitant. I was a bit shocked to see Ab just get on stage to call her mam with the chief guest on stage. This must’ve been to make Ss aware of the relation ship they shared along with the quick hug she gave to Her mam dedicating the award to her mam.

It was nice to see how the mother and son put their points in front of each other through their speeches. It was Ab who initiated the speech though. She was the one who asked Ss to say a few words which lead to this. She seems to be a strong force in bridging the gap between son and mother.

Ss seems to be affected by Anokhi from the very first instance be it in a negative way. The way he quickly frees his hand after handing over the award.. that brief moment shows he is clearly affected… how? May be because now he knows she is Asthas student or ??.

The scene between Kanchan and gayatri shows the dissatisfaction from kanchan’s side of the irrational behaviour of the Sabh family towards women.

In the scene where Astha is planning to leave it is clearly shown how much a control freak BM is. She makes sure she hears a yes from Gayatri that inspite of being educated she wouldn’t go against the family traditions.

Asthas questioning of blindly following the family traditions to Tej is very much a valid point and worth bringing up which even gayatri was aware of but isn’t strong enough to point out. It was the situation Astha was faced with that made her question. If not for the situation would Astha have settledlike Gayatri as she gave up her job to get married to Shaan. Is it only the circumstances that forced her?
