Firstly: Shaurya has anger issues. He needs Anger management. When he is angry, he does and says things that he has no control over. What Ahir said is true. He hurts people. Whether his mother or Anokhi.Words have repercussions.

If you understand the character arc of Ahir, he knows more than he shows. He knew where to find Shaurya at night, he knows what's going on between Shaurya and Anokhi and he is trained to read people as a cop. He understands that Shaurya has an issue with him being around Anokhi and what he is doing with Shaurya is tackling that issue head-on. He staged this intervention knowing Anokhi will come, knowing Shaurya is too arrogant to apologize and therefore removing himself as a plausible threat from Shaurya's mind so he stops reacting like that around him. Will it help? Depends on how things play out at holi. If Shagun masquerades as Anokhi and Shaurya ends up saying I love you to her- Anokhi will back out and distance herself from Shaurya. Shaurya will go mad, Then anything in his way will be a threat. Any damn thing. Let us see how that plot plays out.

Somehow I am on Ahir's side.....Ahir is a decent guy who has full control over his emotions. He knew that Shaurya likes Anokhi and is fair with him. On the other hand, PS hit his car and did not even apologize properly. He is full-on angry mode when he got to know about Ahirs likeness of Anokhi. IMO Ahir is going to be the cupid. Even if he is hurt, he will accept Anokhi's decision of choosing Shaurya. He is such a balanced person that he can even continue to be Anokhi's friend even after Shaurya - Anokhi Milan.

Second, the ACP did arrest him for hitting a policeman’s car. But mostly for the non-apology and Shaurya’s anger.

We know Shaurya knows how to say sorry and that the ACP isn’t this much of a jerk. So the purpose was to get that ShauHir confrontation! So it was really just CVs taking creative liberties and using the arrest as a plot device to get the story moving.

If Ahir was really unethical, he could’ve ignored Anokhi’s call to Shaurya and she would have been none the wiser. I’m going to enjoy Anokhi’s anger and Shaurya being a witness to that.....which I think is Ahir’s purpose. I still think Ahir is a positive character who has witnessed many exchanges with ShaKhi to know they’re into each other and are confused about confession. He’s going give them the nudge they need!

I don't think Ahir is trying to be a cupid, he could be trying to get the clarity of whether he has any chance for AB or has she already started liking SS!! I don't see him interfering much into others lives unnecessarily, he earlier asked that Anokhi's sister should officially file a complaint against her husband, he didn't budge into their lives which could have created unwanted circumstances. He clearly asks for permission, requests AB before he does anything, seemingly a good guy who's decently trying to get a chance with a girl he likes
