ShAkhi OS: What Happens In library Stays in Library!
Shaurya stepped in the library not realizing what fate has in store for him.
The library at this time was almost empty and there was only the librarian he could spot as a human being and no one else. Sighing he just matched towards the shelf of economics subject. Actually, for some research journal, he needed a book reference so he had to step in here.
After looking for the correct book, he went and sat on the couch, flipping the pages of the book searching for the topic of his desire.
At the extreme end of the library Anokhi was making her notes and as if on cue she looked up and found him and got happy.
'I will ask him. I am sure he will clear my doubt. ' with that thought she approached him.
"Excuse me sir! "
"I am busy Ms. Bhalla! " He said still very much focussed on the book.
"Please sir I have this doubt and only you can clear it! "
He turned his head with a small sigh and found her giving a pleading look.
"Fine! Sit first and then ask! " He said and she sat on the chair beside him.
By the time her doubt got cleared it was already very late and as if on cue they heard the gate getting locked.
Both Shaurya and Anokhi ran towards the library gate as they were far away from it, realising they were about to get in trouble but the damage was already done.
They both screamed for help but it all vent in vain as no one was outside to hear them and the library was sound proof from inside as well.
"Because of you Ms. Bhalla I am now locked in here with you! " He completed turning to look at her.
"What! how is this my fault sir? " She asked confused because she was also stuck in there with him and not only he was there.
"Of course it is! You know right, that you are a certified troublemaker who not only gets into trouble but drag the people around you too and to prove that I have myself as an example! " He said pointing towards himself in the end.
"Really sir? So now the global warming is also my fault, right sir? " She asked all annoyed.
"Don't mess with me right now Ms. Bhalla or else you will pay a hard price for it! " He warned her.
The lights went off halting there conversation or we can say argument in between.
"This day can't get any better than this! " He said.
She in anger stomped her foot but to her bad luck it hit his leg making him groan in pain.
"Ouchhh...Ms. Bhalla what are you even trying to do by using your flying kicks on me!" He hissed still in a bit pain.
"Sorry sir I was just.."
"Just what? Trying to kill me by taking advantage of the dark? " He venomously blurted out.
"No sir of course not! I am sorry!" She said not in the mood to fight more.
'No one dies after getting kicked! How dramatic he is!' She thought and smiled at her own thought.
It was a good thing that he couldn't see her smiling or else he would have blasted on her, not that he didn't already though.
"I don't need your sorry! Save it for your own good! " He said carefully backing away from her before she could use more of her martial arts training on him.
She didn't said anything but sat on the near by empty chair.
"What are you doing now Ms. Bhalla? " He asked as he heard shouting sound.
"I am tired sir so I am sitting on the chair."
"Ms. Bhalla do you have your phone with you? " He asked and a moment later phone 's flash light was thrown on his way.
"I get it that you have now put the light away from me! It's messing with my eyes! " He turned his hand down as she turned the on her book.
He then approached her and took her phone.
He quickly dialled Shaan's number which went engaged resulting in Shaurya rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"God knows with whom Dad is talking to at this hour! " He muttered.
"Maybe someone important! " She innocently reminded him.
"Shut up Ms. Bhalla!" He spatted knowing fully well whom she was talking about.
"I will but sir that's my phone in your hand!" She eyed making him sigh in annoyance.
'It good to be on someone's nerves, specially when that someone leaves no chance to make your life hell! ' she thought.
"Fine! Take it, it's of no use just like you! " He taunted her passing the phone.
She ignored his remark and quickly turned the power saver mode on as right now it's battery that should be saved.
He slumped down on the chair next to her and put his head down on the table.
Almost a minute later his stomach growled making him blush in embarrassment, and it was good thing that the lights were off and she couldn't see the red hue which appeared on his face.
"Sir are you hungry? " She asked carefully as if he was a time bomb and could explode any minute.
"Of course I am Ms. Bhalla! I didn't have dinner but what can we do about it? Nothing so forget it! "
She then carefully opened her bag and took out her emergency pack of biscuit and forwarded it to him. (A/n: I too keep emergency snacks in my college bag just in case of emergency! You should too!)
"Sir you can have this! "
"No thanks Ms. Bhalla! I can manage! "
"Sir you are hungry, you should eat it and don't worry I have one more with me! I will eat along with you so that you don't feel awkward! " She explained and slowly he raised his head and leaned back on the chair.
He looked at her who passed the pack to him and he looked at it for a few seconds before taking it slowly.
His conscience was mocking him at the moment but all he could do was mutter a small thank you to her before opening the seal and eating like a kid.
She mentally smiled as now he was finally eating, she as promised to him took another pack out and started eating herself.
While eating he thought of million ways to murder the librarian who dared to lock him inside along with her. The first thing that came in his mind was firing him but that would be plain and predictable, he didn't want that so he dwelled deeper into his brain's violent side.
"Sir what are you thinking? " She asked not liking the pin drop silence of the room.
"I am thinking of ways to kill the librarian Ms. Bhalla! " He blurted out his thoughts.
"What? But why sir?"
" Out of all people you are asking me why? Don't you know he locked us inside! So.. "
"Killing isn't the solution to it sir! " She said as if he really would kill someone.
"Don't start your lecture at the moment Ms. Bhalla! I am least interested! And the biscuits are finished! Why on earth they put so less content in one pack? " He muttered the last part slowly but due the the pin drop silence she heard him and smiled.
"Sir you can.. "
"No thanks Ms. Bhalla I don't want your pack! I have had enough sugar in my system for a day! Now all I need is to find a place to sleep because this chair isn't helping much! "
"But sir its a library and there's no bed.. "
"Couches are there! I will manage on one of them. Give me your phone!"
"Huh! Why sir? "
"Because I need light so that I don't bump into things and hurt myself!" He explained.
"Ok sir!" She said passing him the phone and he turned to go away when heard her call him.
"Yes Ms. Bhalla what now? " He asked turning again.
"Sir can I come with you too? I mean What will I do here! " She said and he gave her an amused expression almost mocking her before nodding in approval.
"Alright, follow me! " He said and they both walked towards the couch which was just a few minutes distance away from them.
"I want this one so that is yours! Good night, have no happy dreams Ms. Bhalla! " He said slumping down on the small couch and laid back.
It was a good thing that he was slightly leaner and not muscular because already he looked so uncomfortable to her but she didn't say anything and laid down to another couch which was beside his.

The morning arrived a bit earlier for shaurya as he woke up to the wake up song ringing from the phone which was in his pocket.
"Dammit! " He uttered on frustration as he forcefully opened his eyes, took out the phone and switched off the alarm.
He saw the time and it was 5 am!
"When did I set up a 5 am alarm?" He questioned himself.
And in that moment he realized that the phone was not his and his eyes fell upon her who was peacefully sleeping with him wide awake.
"I bet she doesn't even wake up at 5!" He muttered before standing and stretching himself.
"Ahh.. " He winced in pain as his neck got sprained.
As he was feeling the pain, the determination to kill the librarian just got stronger.
He sat back on the couch and now the sleep was no where in sight so he did the most rational thing that came in his mind.
"Time to wake this trouble maker!" He said to no one in particular.
"Ms. Bhalla wake up!" He firmly but loudly said.
"Sorry shaurya sir! " She said with a jolt and sitting straight.
"Sorry? For what Ms. Bhalla? Come in your senses now!" He said realizing she must have dreamt of him scolding her or something.
"Sir what is the time?" She asked rubbing her eyes.
"5:15 am!"
" What? Sir why did you wake me up now? Cleaners will come at 7 at least! We still have time to sleep a bit! "
"Ms. Bhalla shut up and may I know why you have an alarm of 5 am?"
"What do you mean by why sir? Of course to study! "
He gave her a bored look.
"These things don't impress me Ms. Bhalla! Try something else. "
When he didn't get a reply from her he looked in her direction to find her sleeping.
'She slept again? Was she talking to me in her sleep? Does she sleep talk or what? And she says she wakes up at 5 to study! At this rate who will reckon her? Not me obviously!' He thought as light smile crept on his face seeing her sleeping with her mouth a bit open.
Later as expected the librarian was fired because of Shaurya.
Anokhi thought that it will be awkward to attend his class now that they have spent a troubled night in library but to her surprise he was back to his strict teaching methods and behaved like nothing had happened.
Well what happens in the library stays in the library indeed.
