From the look of it yes. But I believe shaan did a bigger sacrifice by giving up his love , for his son..aastha had to sacrifice for her parents ..both were conflicted and had to make tough choices. . Probably shaan chose to stay back only to give shaurya a comfortable life , probably the parents did not want their son to see a life full of struggles . Money is not everything but its bec of money , shaurya was able to get this education and he is now managing sabarwal college and what not..
From where I see , shaurya is not throwing tantrums but he too is conflicted. Deep down he has his parents sanskar but he refuses to acknowledge them bec he has seen the opposite in real life...
he is def jealous with anokhi as she is getting the affection that he craved for his entire life , from his own parents. Its forcing him to think that he might be wrong n he might have misunderstood them but his aunt's manipulations doesnt let him think the right way. Like his aunt said he IS getting affected..right now he is thinking that his mom sent anokhi to get to him , and shaan ..that's the problem at surface level .
I agree. Sometimes people aren't wrong but the situation is. Sometimes bad outcomes are the best one can get out of a situation in order to avoid the worst.
Shaan and Astha both sacrificed their love and prioritised their families. As Shaan said, "Main Tej Bhaisahab ke khilaaf nahin jaa sakta" and as Astha said,"Main apne Beeji aur Bauji ko nahin chhod sakti". Though they were apart for years, they were in each other's hearts. I would like to see their story having an happy ending and Shaurya and Anokhi bringing them back together.
As for Shaan not giving attention to Shaurya, I don't think he ever got the chance. Shaurya's aunt has such a domineering presence in his life and she influenced him so much, that never ever could Shaurya and Shaan could have a normal conversation without conflict. Such things are easy to do, especially for a woman as manipulative as Shaurya's aunt.
As for Astha, it would have been hard enough finding a job and keeping her parents home afloat financially in the initial days. And going against the all-powerful Sabarwals was just not an option for her. And as for legal option is not what many people prefer because of the long and painful and uncertain process. I think she decided it was best if she didn't drag little Shaurya into such a nasty fight. Being away from her was traumatic enough, she couldn't confuse him more by saying that the entire Sabarwal family is wrong.
Also, I feel that Shaurya's aunt was so busy in keeping Shaurya away from his mother, that she never could shower motherly love on him. Mostly she is so selfish that she is incapable of caring for a child like a mother would. And that's apparent as Shaurya misses his mother. From his own words, it is clear that from his point of view his aunt did so much for him, so many sacrifices etc, but he never talks of how much she had loved her.
And that's why he craves so much for the love he never got. Despite having a motherly figure in his life, he never got the love of a mother.
