It is not about the age gap... It is not about an elder girl falling for a younger guy. I personally feel that if they can forge a connection and fall in love then love knows no age. Because I go by the lines of growing is mandatory, growing up is optional and age is immaterial .
The gap between Anu and Neil is not just of age but of maturity... Anu is shown far too mature for Neil. A boy who tries killing himself just because the girl he loves rejects him is by no means mature. He is immature to not think that when a person commits suicide, he doesnt die alone, immature to know that nothing lasts forever, that love is not life just a part o it.
Anu however stepped aside for her sisters happiness, ignoring her own pain. She convinced her dad to go ahead with the relationship despite of holding the ace of being the elder daughter. That shows a maturity far beyond her age. So with this logic, in age there might be a few years between Neil and Anu but in maturity there are many decades of gap between the two.
And as many pointed out, the pairing was supposed to be of Anuraj and we have already lost our hearts to them
As for Devyani being selfish, I have to agree with this. (Mind you I was the one who once made a positive post giving reasons to Devyani's actions at one point to understand her)
She has only told Alka of the fact that she likes Rajat. And yet she gets jealous of her own sister. With the bond shown between sisters, there shouldnt be place for a petty emotion like jealousy. Because that jealousy is out of wanting to be on her sisters place. In which world is being jealous of a sister who has taken care of you like a mother acceptable?? and that too for a guy you dont even know (Dont forget there havent been any real convos between Rajat and Dev)
Secondly she rejects Neil and jumps at a chance of getting married to Rajat disregarding the fact that:
a) Rajat is the elder brother of the guy she just rejected. she will have to live in the same house as him. The least she could do is give Neil some time to move on. Friendly concern has never healed hearts
b) She has an elder unmarried sister. Spare her at least a single thought.
So in my opinion Devyani is selfish and I hope CVS stop ruining her character given that she is the parallel lead..
