To be honest its just insanity and lousy writing. That's the issue with Indian dramas. They never represent the pain and sufferings of the LGBTQA+ community in a respectful, reasonable way. Making the protagonist be so hateful and anti LGBT isn't exactly the kind of representation that the community needs in the mainstream media, especially in an ignorant country like India where people still can't differentiate between gender and sexuality or homosexuality/intersex/transsexuality. A man falling in love with a transgender woman would be considered straight too because we are giving the transgender people the right to own up to their gender but I see that even that goes above and beyond most people's head in the country.

I agree , thats the problem with most daily soaps .. always take things to extreme when people will stop connecting with the characters ..

This show is suppose to give positive msg to the society via Harman's character but instead he is shown feeling disgust towards his kinner wife .. so what exactly CVs r trying to show here ? That kinners r suppose to b hated only ? how can any transgender watching this show will ever get any positive hope seeing the amount of torture Saumya is going through /.. they will instead feel demotivated to marry or hv a family even if they get a guy like Harman in their life

It is hugely disappointing because the world is slowly moving away from the way LGBT characters were stereotyped on the screen and were given same kind of storylines where they were either bullied, hated on, killed, stayed in the closet, got blackmailed, never came out due to fear and rejection from family and friends and eventually ended up with unrequited, unhappy or tragic endings.

Out there, the TV is moving away from that, we have shows like Skram and Shadowhunters and so many more outside and in Asia that represents different types of LGBT characters, as main characters in very respectful and loving manner, filled with acceptance and devoid of the ignorance like we are seeing here.

The main lead is coming off as a huge hateful bigot and Saumya is getting treated like India is still stuck in the early 2000s, treating LGBT people lesser than animal, like 3rd rate trash not worthy of being respected and treated like simple human beings like all other cis hetero people. It's disgusting. I'd never recommend this to any of my non-Indian friends.
