Harman The Character-What CVs Intended to Show & Whats being Shown

Since almost everyone are disappointed with the current track especially Harman's character which has taken a full 180 degree turn and many of us r not able to digest this butchering of such a beautiful character that has been built for 1.5 yrs , so my today's episode is dedicated to Harman's character only ..

I will divide my post into 3 parts today ..

First Part will b trying to understand Harman's inner turmoil and whats really affecting him so much that overnight he has turned into a monster ..

Second Part will be what CVs intended to show us in this love-hate track which was actually promising when it started And

Third Part will b what CVs r actually showing us which resulted in this huge blunder of butchering his character as Harman has become a victim of bad writing and flawed execution now in a track which actually had potential 🤔 ..

1) Harman's Inner Turmoil & the unknown fear haunting his mind :


Thanks CVs for finally giving some monologues to Harman in yesterday Episode which show his inner turmoil and how those puja visuals r still haunting him ..Though it still dont justify those cruel acts he does with Saumya in every episode but at least we feel somewhere he is affected too 🤔...Hope we see more monologues in Next Episode & its not edited out

My big fear was mayb Harman has moved on & dont feel anything for Saumya as in last 5 episodes he was projected like a robot but yesterday episode gave me some relief because if he really moved on then he would go out & hv fun with girls like Harak had asked him to do instead of drinking in dhaba & still remembering Saumya's betrayal 🤔 .. Even Hate and Anger r extreme forms of Love only , so when someone in particular is still stuck on your mind whether in positive or negative way , it just means u still hvn't moved on which is a positive sign for now ..

Fact that Harman poured out his fears & pain in front of his friends proved that Saumya is still stuck on his mind & heart 😉..So behind all his bitterness and inhuman acts, there is a hidden grief stricken man who is not able to come out of a certain trauma that he has witnessed in form of that widow puja ..Yesterday bec of 5sec monologue,we could read into Harman's mind & try to understand what exactly bothering him 🤔..So please CVs keep giving him longer monologues showing his inner turmoil or if he has any hidden motive behind his extreme inhuman acts for us to get proper insight into his mind & heart ..


Also his monologues cleared one thing .. We now know he is angry and hurt because he assumes Saumya did those widow rituals knowingly and it scared him as he mayb wondering what she will do when he will b nomore with her to protect her since she can keep falling in trap of enemies and do such pujas which will slowly take her to destruction 🤔 .. So this misunderstanding need to b cleared now .. Someone has to tell him that Saumya did the puja unknowingly and then she was forced into those widow rituals ..Also most important thing that he needs to know here is that his own family members like Shanno and Harak r involved in this plan ..So he has to protect Saumya from his own family first .. At least now we know what could b possible climax to this track ..Its the truth revelation about his own family ..Also we need to know what exactly Kareena told him that day which was muted as there is some fear thats haunting his mind or else why did he talk about getting scared seeing her in that widow ritual 🤔...

So CVs did manage to bring out his inner turmoil in front of viewers to some extent in yesterday episode 👍🏼 though the execution and writing of this track has gone haywire which I will talk in my third pointer ..


2) What CVs intend to show us via Harman's extreme actions & anger :

In yesterday Episode Harman felt something when he saw Saumya screaming in pain while cleaning with those weights on her feet..Thats why he himself asked Preeto to put oinment on her feet & then told her to leave house..So He dint enjoy watching her in pain at least & thats why went out to drink 😉😆..Its clear that CVs r trying to show how Harman want Saumya to leave instead of going through torture,so he is deliberately giving her such tasks where she gives up & leave but she is equally stubborn like him 😆 which is making him frustrated as he is not really enjoying her pain , reason why he often goes out of the house to drink after giving her these torturous acts but finally his emotions come out in front of his friends while drinking in yesterday's episode 🤔..Its another story that Creatives intention in such scenes r coming out looking extreme flawed and misleading which I will write in my 3rd pointer .. 😃


In every sentence if u notice , Harman gives a choice to Saumya that either u do this task or u can leave because he is sure that she will give up at one point and leave him which is what he might b wanting if my assumption about his scare is true which I mentioned in my 1st pointer 🤔 .. So this sort of makes it a role reversal track again because in last track Saumya wanted him to leave her for his betterment in life and in this track Harman wants her to leave him for her betterment in life as he wants her to b independent and strong without him 🤔 .. This is what mayb CVs intend to show us in this track through his extreme anger and actions ..

Also CVs hv showed us in one of the previous episode how his subconscious mind still wants her near him as he holds his hand at night in unconscious state but next morning he becomes brutal again and ties her same hand & also mouth to dress her like kinner .. So CVs hv shown two opposite sides of same coin which means their intension is to bring out both the sides of his character, one that his subconscious mind wants and other that his conscious mind believes but so far they hv not been successful with it because they r going extreme in few scenes which I will talk in my 3rd pointer ..




3) What CVs r actually showing us which is making viewers feel the disconnect with Harman instead of feeling bad for him :

When in the party , Harman brutally snatched Saumya's mangalsutra and pushed her , many tried to understand his instant anger and inner turmoil after going through a painful betrayal .. We could feel how much those broken bangles and seeing her like a widow affected his mindset .. We expected his monologues here about his pain and feeling of betrayal after the party scene , but unfortunately we got no monologues .. Instead Harman just went to drink with his father Harak and after that he repeatedly started cursing the whole kinner clan ..We wondered why is he cursing all kinners instead of just being angry on his wife 🤔 but unfortunately we got no answer and he continued with those poisonous dialogues of cursing entire kinner clan and how he feels disgust if a kinner ever touch his clothes ..We still waited patiently for his anger to cool down a bit and mayb then get some monologues , but instead we got more insulting dialogues from his mouth abusing the entire kinner clan and repeatedly telling Saumya that her body cannot seduce him as she is not a woman who can give him wifey pleasures or kids ; This made us feel that mayb till now he had suppressed his desires but now in anger the truth is coming out from his mouth that he always wanted kids .. Again misleading and confusing dialogues coming out from his mouth made us wonder is he angry for his wife's wrong actions to participate in puja or is he angry because he suddenly realised his wife is a kinner who cannot produce kids because in every dialogue his anger is directed more towards the fact that she is kinner who cannot give him kids 😕😕 .. We know reason of his anger is that Aravan puja only as he feels she did all widow rituals knowingly , but his dialogues in the show r completely misleading and will make viewers wonder if he ever loved Saumya the kinner or just her beauty and so today in anger he is nonstop taunting her as kinner and reminding her she cannot hv kids .. We know he loved Saumya the kinner and not just her beauty but the problem is the misleading dialogues given to his character which is giving wrong impression to the general viewers



Even with the misleading dialogues , we were still giving him benefit of doubt because one can argue that hey in anger people do say such brutal things even if they dont mean it and in this case he is just a human who is extremely angry .. Ok fine lets take that 🤔.. But what about his inhuman actions that followed next day ? First dressing her up as kinner to taunt her again about her incompleteness (CVs dint show any proper flashback and so a general viewer will guess that he only undressed and dressed her up as he tied her hands and mouth before doing so and in next scene her saree-blouse r all changed when he brings her downstairs ) , then rubbing chilli on her wounds and giving a evil smirk while watching her scream in pain , then tieing 20kg weight on her feet and asking her to do all household work , then dragging her on road like animal with her swollen feet , then we hear in upcoming epi he will put a bowl on her head and ask her to collect beeds from floor .. Ermmm what r we suppose to assume here ? He is angry or he is in pain or he may hv some secret motive to make her a superwoman and So he is giving these inhuman psycho type acts to his wife which r almost on the lines of physical torture ?? R we suppose to assume this ? 😕 .. Instead of showing that he is giving a royal ignore to his wife or giving her a cold shoulder or showing some fun nok jhoks between both where she is trying to cool him down but he gets irritated with her and blast her while she too give him back in her style thus making it a fun love-hate track , u guys r bringing in such extreme level of physical tortures and glorifying them in the name of love ?? 😳... If this is not character butchering then what is character butchering ..plss explain 🤔..How can a normal viewer connect with such a hero who is going extreme to torture his wife whom he loved once in the name of anger or pain or hidden motive or whatever ?? ..



If the intention is to show that he is deliberately giving her such tasks thinking she will give up and leave so that he can make her strong and independent like I discussed in my 1st & 2nd pointers , then in next scene he should not b shown dragging her like an animal on road when her feet is already swollen after doing household work because its making him look inhuman in the eyes of general viewers unless CVs want to show Harman secretly wishing to make her a soldier or make her participate in Olympics next year 😆😆..Thats why I made 2 pointers .. one what CVs intention behind a scene and two how CVs r showing it in flawed way which is making it look all wrong ..So Pls writers avoid such physical tortures like putting 20kg weight on feet & dragging on road like animal in name of anger/hatred/ pain or secret motive as nothing can justify such cruel acts 👎🏼.Even channel had to give disclaimer for it while running this scene ..So dont make a Show's Hero do all this 👎🏼 .. Now that he has already done all these acts , plss write a strong redemption/regret track for Harman before its too late .,



Also Its a request to our dialogue writer Sharad to.stop giving dialogues to Harman which all the time talk of one's aukat or insult the whole kinner clan ..There r other ways to express anger or hatred too in dignified language even if his secret intension is to make her strong ..Instead give him more monologues which can help us understand his pain or anger or inner turmoil or secret intension in a better way ...Because of his dialogues only , he is appearing more inhuman every passing episode .. Its appearing that he is not angry on his wife for taking part in puja without telling him which should hv been the main reason of his anger but instead he is angry because he suddenly realised his wife is a kinner who cannot give him physical pleasure or kids and so suddenly he feels disgusted with her touch ; Dialogues like wash the floor as its become dirty with her bad blood or wash my clothes as this kinner touched it , sort of proves that he is angry because suddenly he realised his wife is a kinner and not a woman .. But we know this is not exactly the reason of his anger , so then why giving him such misleading dialogues and confusing the viewers more thus making us hate Harman ..Even if he has some hidden motive , still these dialogues dont justify anything ; When he talks about washing his clothes as it became dirty with her touch , it makes us question what will he do with his body or lips that has hugged or kissed this same kinner for 1.5 yrs now , will he burn his body now ?? 😳..So plss avoid giving him such stupid illogical dialogues which r making his character look more inhuman or heartless than angry ..


Also when I m doing this above criticism and trying to tell CVs what exactly hv gone wrong in current track with Harman's character , Its not about bashing or criticising Harman here because he is just a character whom the writer moulds as per his vision..Till yesterday he was only one who respected kinners & today he only is insulting kinners most ..Its like full 180degree turn of his character which is nothing but victim of bad writing & flawed execution , reason why I m criticising the writing of his character here and not the character itself as they r showing in anger or pain or hatred or whatever a man will go to extreme of physically torturing his wife in most cruel manner which is sick writing in my book 👎🏼..Hope his Fans understand this as I m also his fan and dont want CVs to butcher him beyond repair 😭 ..

So Pls understand CVs that Angry/Cold/Pained Man is not equal to Heartless/Inhuman Man..Dont turn his character into a psycho like Nana Patekar in Agni Sakshi , Remember he is the hero of Shakti and not a villain..Showing such extreme acts like tieing 20kg weight on feet and dragging her on road like animal or putting a bowl on her head & asking her to collect beeds from floor(as per upcoming scene in TOI spoiler) r acts of psychoness and not anger .. He is angry but he is not a psycho to do such inhuman acts with his wife .. So plss dont turn him into a psycho or inhuman .. Let him be a human who too has his share of pain and emotions which needs to b explored now in coming epis ..

Vivian is doing a splendid job in whatever script he has been given ..Its not his fault if he is asked to act or react like a inhuman or psycho .. He is doing full justice to whatever he has been given to do , reason why we r hating Harman more as his acting is damn realistic here 👏..But when u hv such a brilliant actor on your side , its the responsibility of the writers to do equal justice with his character which they themsleves hv created for 1.5 yrs instead of ruining it all in just 5 episodes 😡..If he was playing a killer or psycho or heartless man right from 1st episode , noone would hv felt the pinch , but when u build a character who was shown as the epitome of humanity for almost 1.5 yrs now and then suddenly u turn him inhuman in just 3-4 epis , its natural for viewers to feel the pinch and loose the connect with the character even if the actor is doing a brilliant job .. U need to balance out his anger and pain making sure he does not loose his basic nature or humanity so that Vivian's hardwork as an actor dont go in waste .. Hope the damage control is done in coming episodes ...


These r my rants about Harman's character .. I understood his inner turmoil and reason of his anger .. I also understood what CVs r trying to show here .. But what I dont understand is why CVs had to take such inhuman extreme route to show this track , reason why many r not really enjoying it .. Irony is in this track , both Vivina r getting max screenspace to perform , even then viewers r not enjoying it which proves the lack of creativity and bad writing in this track ..




Last but not the least , I must say Hats off to Rubina for portraying every single pain of Saumya so convincingly 👏.Its .not easy to portray such level of pain & torture so effortlessly on screen & make us feel u r really going through hell ..So take a bow ⭐️ ...I had to mention this in the end as my entire post was about Harman but I got to give it to Saumya and also Rubi for going through all the pains and enacting it effortlessly on screen 👏...Only positive about this track is its truely bringing out the lover in Saumya and we can see the extreme to which she can go to win her love back ... Now noone can count what all Harman did for Saumya in Bangkok MU track as Saumya has gone through double the amount of pain in this track to win Harman back in beginning itself 👏..



Coming to the new entry Jasleen , for once I hope she is not another negative character coming to form a cliched triangle 🥱 but instead plays a positive cupid who will eventually reunite HaYa .. Since she is coming from Canada , so I m expecting her to b borad minded who understands the pain of Saumya as kinner and also understands whats bothering Harman and then make them come close 😃 ... Jasleen can only make both HaYa come close but after that let Harman on his own realise his mistake and return back to his old self by accepting Saumya in his life 😳

Overall what I expect now is CVs should tone down Harman's anger a bit , give him more monologues which can show his inner turmoil and stop showing those physical tortures on Saumya .. Try to show what u guys hv intended to but without the extra torture and humiliation .. Also HaYa story hv no place for a third angle , remember that .. Day u decide to bring in a third angle in form of Mahi or Surbhi or Jasleen or XYZ , you will loose your viewers completely who mayb still holding onto these torture epis with a hope that one day HaYa will reunite ..

no he is not suffering from any disease , writer confirmed it .. dunno if its some other big reason , but no disease

I'm sorry to say this, but that's the problem generally with indian drama makers; they have to go to the maximum extreme in everything! It seems like they don't know about boundaries, or actions that are (Out.Of.Character). CVs actually need to study psychology, to have an idea of what every sort of character would b capable of doing under the different circumstances! To actually put some boundaries between the different sorts of emotions a human could go through, e.g: anger does NOT equal evilness! For example; blind anger could actually lead to brutal beating and killing too! Which would be followed with regrets, and if the victim is a loved one, extreme sadness and grief too, of course. But anger -alone- would never ever turn a normal humane kind person into a cold blooded sadistic, who'd (enjoy) torturing any creature at all, not to mention the one who's supposedly his most beloved!!!!! To enjoy inflecting pain, a person needs a certain type of psychology, a certain type of (ability); you either have it or you don't! No amount of anger or provoking would create this type of sadistic ability inside a person!
So, either Harman had been a sadistic in disguise and is just now being exposed for a villain, or CVs r just being their normal indian undiscriminating selves, going haywire in their attempts to showcase any certain emotions!
Too bad such excellent performers like Vivian, Rubina and others r stuck with CVs with such severly flawed mentality ...

I've been trying to ignore the infamous indian irrationality in drama writing, in favor of enjoying some quality acting, but, unfortunetly, with every show, the more they progress, the more irrational the writers become, and the less the acting could make up for it! I had hopes for shakti that it'd b different, but, alas, no such chance!

Problem is with writers and their mentality .. they hv a wrong notion that trp viewers love seeing torture of the female lead at the hands of a angry young man type hero .. so they repeatedly take this route where the female lead will suffer all sort of tortures and later the hero regrets and female lead will easily forgive him .. then one reunion ,. again shift to next track and recycle same misunderstanding again with a different angle

They never deeply study all this psychology of a person's mind like u hv analysed beautifully .. for them its either black or white .. there is no grey in their book 😆

To be honest its just insanity and lousy writing. That's the issue with Indian dramas. They never represent the pain and sufferings of the LGBTQA+ community in a respectful, reasonable way. Making the protagonist be so hateful and anti LGBT isn't exactly the kind of representation that the community needs in the mainstream media, especially in an ignorant country like India where people still can't differentiate between gender and sexuality or homosexuality/intersex/transsexuality. A man falling in love with a transgender woman would be considered straight too because we are giving the transgender people the right to own up to their gender but I see that even that goes above and beyond most people's head in the country.
