I think it was pre-planned and the story is written like that. This marriage is not sudden. I think its needed to reach the big stage of revelation of Somu's secret. They need a good audience base for the secret to reveal and that can be achieved by putting a marriage track. Also if Somu is actually an intersex then they need a solid cause to reveal because Nimmi and Co wont reveal as it will make the story inconsistent.

i think they need to secure the show first n then move on to the biger things,,,they need good audience first before they throw bombs at us🤣so m happy with marriage track...they cant show harman kidnapping somu thing again n again😆

Another thing is Surbhi may not be that important character as we are thinking because Krystle refused to play this role. Hence there may not be any triangle at all which I think is the best part of this marriage. Till now the show is unpredictable and I hope they maintain this.

Hence don't worry guys, we should give Rashmi aunty a final chance as she herself told this how would be different from her other shows.
