After the huge success of Thuppakki, Illayathalapathi Vijay is busy working with Director A.L.Vijay's untitled project. Even as the film is shaping up, rumours about his next project have surfaced already. Apparently, the actor has put his pen on paper to do a film with K.V.Anand, the cinematographer turned director who made Ayan, Ko and Maattrraan.

K.V.Anand is known to make extravagant films and have produced three hits in succession. A project with Vijay could mean good news for the fans as it promises some exciting sequences and amazing songs. His last film, Maattrraan featured Suriya as conjoined twins, an idea implemented for the first time in Tamil cinema. The actor will reportedly start working on the film after he finishes his current project. Vijay is teaming up with Amala Paul for Director Vijay's film, whose pooja was completed successfully recently.

After it's huge success at the Kollywood box office, Thuppakki is all set to release in South Africa. It will be promoted by Kavin Media and Ster Kinekor cinemas who were the ones behind the release of BIlla 2 and Maattrraan in the country. This is certainly great news for Vijay fans living in South Africa, who would have been waiting for an opportunity to see the A.R.Murugadoss directed film.

Thuppakki Jagdish's late but, latest entry in Mumbai

Thuppakki is releasing in Mumbai today following the positive response it has been getting all over the South and in overseas markets. The story as we know is entirely set in Mumbai and Vijay plays a Mumbai Thamizhan, named Jagdish, who sets out on a mission to wipe out sleeper cells that are out to terrorize Mumbai through serial bomb blasts.

31 screens are set to screen Thuppakki in Mumbai and the paid preview that was held yesterday resulted in great responses for this Murugadoss movie. Looks like the success story will be repeated here too.

Vijay is on a party spree

Vijay and his wife had earlier thrown a party to celebrate the success of Thuppakki. This party was attended by many celebs such as Vikram, director Murugadoss and the crew associated with the movie. Vijay and his wife were lauded for their hospitality at the party.

Now, Vijay is shooting for his AL Vijay movie in Mumbai and once he gets a break from the shooting schedules, he plans to throw another success bash for Thuppakki. This party will be graced by Vijay's close friends and other industry contacts.

Thuppakki gets a surprise late viewer

By now, majority of film buffs ought to have seen Vijay's Thuppakki and needless to say we expect the cast and crew of the film to have already seen the movie many times. But, lead actress Kajal Aggarwal took the time to see Thuppakki only recently.

She finally saw the movie in Hyderabad, Cinemax and found the movie to be very gripping. A majority of her social networking followers recommended Thuppakki to her as she was in the mood to see a movie after an early pack-up to her shooting duties.

Post the success of Vijay's Google Google, it looks like the actor is taking his singing career seriously. We hear Vijay is practicing hard for a song he will croon for AL Vijay's project. This is his 25th song and GV Prakash has composed it.

The team is in Mumbai for the first schedule. This is Vijay's second consecutive film that's being shot in the city, post Thuppakki. Amala Paul has just joined the crew and AL Vijay's other regulars, Santhanam and Nassar, will also be a part of the film.
