looks like except me all are good in tamil too... well i can understand tamil, but cannot speak it... and i can identify some letters in tamil... something i learned by trying hard to read the bus boards the very few times i have been in TN lol!!

My grandfather is also a Kerala Iyer (I said Tamil Iyer before rite?...my mistake)

I meant that he was born in a Tamil speaking Iyer family in Palakkad

hey its ok..ull learn to speak by just listening..its not that difficuilt to learn to speak..

i learn to speak malayalam from my friends as at home we speak tamil..my friends used to interact with me in the language and thts how i learnt to speak..they also didnt know to read or write so couldnt learn that..

well how many of u knew that this forum existed before the official announcement today? im asking this cos i didnt know of this forum until today!! i am shocked this forum has been in existence for a year...!!
