Re-cap : Rajbeer comes to the Dhillon house to find it empty. He is then blindfolded by Preeto who seems to have a surprise planned for him. She leads him to the terrace, on the way as she goes off to get something, Rajbeer recognizes the sound of the payals he had gifted to her, on her feet.

{While her plan unfolds bit by bit, he might as well enjoy the moment with some flirtation! How much he loved doing that!?
Preeto : Hmmm! {She doesn't let his flirtations distract her'She has a plan to execute!
{She carefully maneuvers her steps on the stairs, balancing the plate of cake in one hand, holding Rajbeer's hand with the other as she leads him up'the Sari complicating her movement further. Her payals make a tinkling noise as she climbs each step'. he had gifted them to her on Valentine.}
RB : Maine kaha tha na tumse inhe pehanke dheere se, aaram se, apne paon zameen pe rakhna'inke ghugroon mein meri dhadkanein kaid hai'aur tum ho ki itni laparwahi se idhar-udhar bhaag rahi thi? Agar meri dhadkan toot ke bikhar jati toh' ?
{He turns the moment to romance with his deliberate flirtations'. the air is laden with the anticipation of the unexpected, magnified by lack of any vision due to the blindfold, the feel of her soft hand in his palm and her payals tickling his already racing heart'.Rajbeer stops moving further up the stairs and pulls Preeto close towards him by the hand'.He tries to reach out to her other hand in darkness'.Preeto dodges his hand, carefully balancing the plate of cake}
Preeto : Maine kaha na'no shararat'.
{She adopts the tone of a teacher scolding a kindergarten kid! His mischief needs the discipline of a teacher! She smiles timidly- how could she resist his flirtations? With a tug at his hand she continues to lead him'And silently thanked God that he could not see the effect of his words on her. She is aware of the effect he has on her - he always did this to her'make her feel feeble and lose her bearings with just a flirtatious smile or statement'and then he would take control of their moments'while all she could do was to flow with him'go where he took her'but today she was going to resist his magical influence; she needs to stay focused. Today, she is in control'and he has to flow with her' She had planned the evening'for him'.They reach the terrace; she lets go of his hand, leaving him at the doorway, as she moves to the center of the terrace where the table & chairs are kept.
It's a beautiful night, not a full moon night; but still, the moon shone brightly and the cloudless sky- a deep blue of the early night, an almost black but not yet completely black, sparkled with stars. A gentle cool breeze washed the terrace as the leaves sway to offer a continues music of their whispering movements. She had not been able to do any decorations on the terrace ' she had wanted to add some flowers; but, there hadn't been enough time to do it and it would have been difficult to keep the evening plans under wraps if she had done any decorations on the terrace ' everyone would have figured out!
At the table in the center of the terrace, she bends down to light the candles on the cake.
Rajbeer waits impatiently, his hands resting on his waist- Where is she? What is she doing?}
RB : Preeto'.?
Preeto : Bas ek minute'.
RB : Aur kitni der lagegi? main patti khol raha hoon. {impatience & exasperation creeps into his voice}
Preeto : Khabardaar!!'aapko meri kasam!'jab tak main nahi bolti, haath mat lagana patti ko'
{Finally, as she lights up all the candles; she quickly checks her sari, adjusting the pallu and the pleats before turning around to face Him. Her heart does skip a beat as she looks at him'He is the love of her life' His mere presence makes her feel the warmth and glow of love'He had brought to her life, such joys that she had never known before; She had never known that joy could feel like this! and that she could ever experience it in her lifetime'How foolish had she been to refuse his love for so long, to deny herself such love'such joy'such bliss'She had never been unhappy in her life, never felt anything was missing; even through the toughest and most trying times, she had found happiness and contentment. She had been blessed with cheerfulness all her life, her family had brought so much delight to her; But what he had brought to her life was beyond everything imaginable and existential'It is only after she had found this euphoric joy with him, had she realized what completeness felt like'And, she had been so unfair to him'but now, she had a lifetime to make up for it'and a lifetime felt short'today was just a filament in the vast canvas of myriad hues that she desired for him'all the colors of joy and love'.
Her own face illuminated against the dark sky with the glow of the candles. She calms her beating heart, gains back her poise and comes back to the veracity of present moment. Pure delight & love in her eyes; her face flushes with her lovely smile}
Preeto : Haan'kholiye'.
{Rajbeer struggles to open the blindfold, takes a moment to adjust to the light. Gradually, his vision clears to a mesmerising vista ' right in front of him, he finds Preeto looking radiant!
She is draped in an emerald green sari, the one he had gifted to her; her wavy hair frame her face, just as he liked; in her hand she holds a plate with a Cake with lots of lighted candles... She starts to walk towards him, gliding elegantly, as her hair blew in the evening breeze - Her smile is beautiful and her eyes a reflection of her love; in the most sweet voice she begins to sing :
Happy Birthday to you'Happy Birthday'Happy Birthday'Happy Birthday to you'.
Pre-cap : How does Rajbeer react to this surprise that Preeto seemes to have planned so painstakingly? What does this day mean to him? It has so many memories attached to it'and not happy ones'
