there was a "debate" about women's clothing on NDTV's Big Fight yesterday. It's unbelievable that we're still "debating" this...

I haven't watched the full video - just first 10 sec of it and that had some pretty obscene lyrics - so I promptly closed it, only after reading this discussion, I'm beginning to realize that there's more to it than just po*n.

A woman politco, Madhu Kishwar in another debate went down to ridiculing the entire debate but didnt talk about the issue on hand till the end. it is a shame. Women who think women should be accompanied by males, or should nt be allowed a mobile or if the woman has had boyfriend - any random man is perhaps, entitled to a piece of her. bas***ds.

I saw that and was outraged , that we still discuss the dress code for females in this country, was appalled when Kiran Bedi , mentioned how girls should refrain from going to pubs and clubs coz it has bad vibes, another eminent journo who is also part of NCW blamed the "western" influences.

What society are we living in, what gives anyone the right to decide what I wear or where I go? I wonder if our own gender loves to put us down, u indulge in mollycoddling men.

Gonna watch it again, gave it lyk 15 sec, guess it was trying to make a good pt, but how many "male" r going to stick out till the message, bet they will be salvitating by the visuals only.

I was quietly waiting for you to see the video. One of my daughter's friends was involved in putting the clips together-she sent it to her and my daughter -SHE put it on her fb!!
