Sidney, Ranjana, Bindiya, I saw Friday's ep on Zee and I agree with you all -- the episode was an absolute waste. For me, the Moms taking over in the end soothed things a little bit, but, I agree, that it was too little too late since the Wacko had already devoured the episode and the main characters were written to look like idiots. No wonder a new Punjabi Grooves article says Vibha is "lucky to get the lead." These writers treat her like one. No comment on the Girish-Terrorist thing. 🥱
I agree on the preview, Sidney. Wouldn't be surprised Aarushi will likely be done with her exchange and Wacko finds her doing something else.
On the tongue-in-cheek thing, Ranjana, I know. 😆 I was just trying to give them a little credit for actually knowing they've made a crappy character. I can tell they know it. But, as usual, they're clueless how to get it right or they just don't care to, or maybe a little of both.
Bindiya, the moment he said the patients they're usually prescribed to, it was the only way I could make sense of how she could access those pills. She's the only character fitting that description onscreen. 😆 Dreaded thing, but, yeah, she'll probably be sucking up airtime until the final half-hour of the show.
Ranjana, either Vihaan or Aarushi dying because of Girish is the worst case scenario, and would show l how little the CVs care about these characters and this story. I want them to prove otherwise, pleasantly surprise me and give the show a somewhat satisfying, albeit likely rushed, end. But, at this rate, I expect very little. The writers usually do the opposite of what they should do. So instead of dying the painful death she deserves or being locked up in prison/psych ward, Wacko will probably suddenly become a "changed" woman, aspire to be the kind of bahu Aarushi was, and coddle Vihaan for the rest of his life (since she's become the "lead" and all). 🥱 Or Aarushi is left a widow to raise their son with the Vatsal Moms. I'm kidding with those scenarios, but, just as you all already feel, these CVs really don't inspire a whole lot of confidence in their ability to make this about Vihaan-Aarushi, even as they wrap things up.
