When they reach Vatsal house, Daadi maa, Minnie and Priyanka are waiting in the living room for them, all looking very grim. They have found out that Aarushi is responsible for Gautam being out on bail. Daadi asks Aarushi if she had arranged for his bail. Aarushi tries to give an explanation but Daadi tells her to answer in yes or no. Aarushi admits the truth. Daadi maa gets up and walks away. Aarushi tries to follow her but Minnie and Priyanka block her way. They tell her that Daadi had decided that whoever arranged Gautam's bail should leave the house. Aarushi is shocked and looks at Vihaan. He is too furious and walks away.

Aarushi follows Vihaan to their room. They have a major showdown and Vihaan blasts her. She tries to defend her actions, but he tells her that he is more hurt and furious because she lied to him. He says that despite telling her repeatedly to stay out of certain matters, she did as she pleased because she wants to prove that she is a great person and that she believes only she knows the difference between right and wrong and everyone else is foolish. She tries to argue but he tells her that though he loves her he cannot tolerate his mothers being hurt, and if she is wrong for this house, she has no right to live there anymore. He grabs her hand and drags her out of the room and through the living room.

The mothers hear the ruckus and everyone comes rushing. Daadi maa yells at Vihaan to stop. He releases Aarushi's hand and tells Daadi maa that all of them were right, and Aarushi is not fit to be the bahu of the house. Daadi tells him that irrespective of what Aarushi did, he has no right to behave with a girl like that. She asks the mothers why they weren't stopping him and asks if it is just because it is their son who is behaving badly? She asks them to think about how they would react if their daughter was at the receiving end. She asks Vihaan to apologise to Aarushi, and he does it reluctantly.

Aarushi tries to explain her actions to Daadi maa, who accepts that she may be right, but she also asks Aarushi to think about the issue from their standpoint. She asks Aarushi how they can trust a man who had betrayed them and Neelima so badly. And if they trust him, and he proves to be a bad person ultimately, who will take responsibility. Aarushi tearfully says that all Gautam wants is a chance to speak to Neelima. Daadi maa says she will not allow Neelima to meet Gautam at any cost. From upstairs, Neelima says that she wants to meet Gautam. Everyone is shocked.
