Part 22

Meena rushed towards Bharatwaj house knowing about Roli...

Meena: Sujatha what happened to Roli..

Sujatha: Meena nothing to worry.. she is disturbed seeing that suicide..

Meena: OMG.. where is she now...

Sujatha: Come.. she is with Siddhant only...

Sujatha took Meena to Siddhant room...

When they entered...

Roli was sleeping on Siddhant lap...

Siddhant was caressing her hair...

Meena: How is Roli now???

She rushed towards Roli...

Siddhant: She is sleeping aunty.. she is very much disturbed as she saw that very close... She will be alright dont worry...

Meena: Wish for that siddhant.. she is normally not weak in nature... still i can understand how much she got disturbed by that...

Siddhant: Aunty.. dont worry.. she will be completely alright.. the situation itself was very bad.. which disturbed her a lot..

Meena caress her hair and looked at Siddhant who was holding her on his lap...

Siddhant saw Meena noticing him holding her...

Siddhant: Aunty.. Roli was crying badly & when i tried to consol her.. she slept on my lap...

He put forth his side of justice about what made Roli to lay down on his lap...

Meena: Its ok Siddhant...

Meena felt happy how he understood on just her seeing them and explained...

How caring he is towards Roli...

What if he becomes Roli's...

No.. they are friends since childhood.. i should not develop any such wish and spoil their friendship...

But if Siddhant becomes Roli's then i will be happiest person...

Meena smiled...

Sujatha: Meena.. lets go down... Once Roli wake up and relaxed.. you can take her to home...

Meena; Ok...

Meena & Sujatha went down...

After a while...

Roli wake up..

That is when she realised sleeping on his lap...

Then she remembered herself leaning on his shoulder and crying in the school...

Then in the house...

Then how Siddhant made her to consol and she slept on his lap...

She blushed...

Siddhant: Roli.. are you ok now???

Roli: Yes Siddhant.. i am ok...

Roli got up and sat beside him...

Siddhant: Lets go down.. all are worried seeing your condition...

Roli & Siddhant went down...

Meena was relaxed seeing Roli coming normal...

Sujatha bring Tea to all..

Meena had tea looking at Roli & Siddhant sitting together in the sofa...

Meena was thinking.. how beautiful this pair is...

They completed having tea...

Meena; Sujatha..let me return home.. its time for him to return home from office...

Sujatha: Ok sure...

Sujatha looked at Roli...

Sujatha: Roli.. you are ok now right...

Roli: Yes i am aunty...

Sujatha: Good.. relax yourself.. dont think anything and get hurt...

Roli: Ok Aunty...

Meena & Roli started from there...

Roli looked at Siddhant...

Next day...

Siddhant came to Roli house to enquire about Roli health...

Roli was inside her room...

Siddhant went to her room to meet her...

Siddhant: How are you now Roli...

Roli: I am alright Siddhant...

Siddhant; Hmm.. you seems to be alright.. but there is some thinking running inside your mind...

Roli smiled...

Roli: I cant hide from you.. Yes.. i was thinking deeply...

Siddhant: About what!!!

Roli: About what we saw yesterday...

Siddhant: OMG Roli.. why are you thinking about that... its better you forget that...

Roli: Siddhant.. what can i forget.. yes.. i can forget the bitter feeling the incident gave.. but what about the issue...

Siddhant: Issue.. what are you talking...

Roli took that day's newspaper & showed to Siddhant...

Roli: Siddhant.. you look into this news paper.. not only the one we saw in front of our eyes.. but so many same cases...

Siddhant: Roli.. what are you trying to say...

Roli: Siddhant.. all these are just because they secured less marks or fail mark... What about our friend Dinesh.. how he was affected putting pressure...

Siddhant: Yes Roli.. i know...

Roli: What are we going to do for this Siddhant...

Siddhant: What can we do Roli...

Roli: We need to do something Siddhant.. we should try to bring awareness that the marks itself is not the life criteria.. if they are alive.. even if they fail.. there are option to proceed with the life in some or other way... what they succeed by ending up in death...

Siddhant: Very true Roli.. but what we can do.. thats what i am wondering...

Roli: Why cant we do awareness programme... for students...

Siddhant: Roli.. Good idea.. but how...

Roli: Siddhant.. we always thought of doing good for others.. if we do this awareness programme then it will save so many such deaths in coming years...

Siddhant: True Roli.. i am ready.. i am ready to support your thought and lets do this...

Roli: Thanks Siddhant.. Happy that you are ready to support me...

Siddhant: Roli.. my support is not the big deal.. now our parents need to accept doing that...

Roli: Lets explain them Siddhant..

Siddhant; Ok ok.. we will try today itself talking to our parents...

Roli: Thank you.. thank you so much...

Roli smiled...

Siddhant; ok.. let me talk to our parents and get them assemble at one place so that we can talk to them...

Roli: Ok.. please do that...

Roli called her father while Siddhant called his father...

They informed them to come to Bharatwaj house by evening after office hours to have discussion...

Their father were wondering what they got to discuss now...

Anyway they agreed for their request...

Siddhant: Are you happy now...

Roli looked at Siddhant...

Roli: yes i am happy...

Siddhant smiled...

Roli (with little hesitation): Siddhant.. i am sorry...

Siddhant: Sorry for what???

Roli: when i saw that incident.. i was not in my control and i...

Siddhant: Its ok Roli.. i know you were disturbed at that moment..

Roli; Also after coming home.. i slept on your lap.. sorry for that also...

Siddhant: its ok.. its ok.. just relax.. you did in such disturbed mind.. i dont mind.. so relax yourself...

Roli:Thank you...

Rajender & Jamanlal were sitting speechless hearing what Roli & Siddhant told them...

Rajender: Siddhant.. what are you both talking.. you both are small in age.. how can you do awareness programme...

Siddhant: Pappa.. cant i teach the students of my next class..

Rajender: Teaching like that is different...

Siddhant: Its same pappa.. i believe we can explain the students about changing their angle towards the marks...

Jamanlal: Will everyone understand what you say...

Roli: pappa.. it is going to be our try.. we are not telling upon our awareness programme.. none will do that mistake.. but it is just 1 step of us towards educating about actuality of education...

Rajender: Its all good to hear.. but not easy task...

Siddhant: Nothing is easy task pappa.. we only need to take it as challenge... We are not going to be in that day & night.. we will conduct on weekends.. that is enough.. anyway.. our colleges are holiday on Saturday & schools will be working.. on those days we can have the programme conducted...

Jamnalal & Rajender looked at each other...

After a while...

Rajender: ok.. i wish you both dont end up in any trouble doing all this...

Siddhant: Dont worry pappa.. we wont end up in any trouble.. we are not going to hurt any politician or any person.. we are only going to make awareness on education.. so nothing will happen...

jamanlal; Roli.. you were disturbed on that day seeing that.. i am afraid how you are going to handle these awareness programme and all...

Roli:I will pappa.. how long i can run away seeing all these... anyway the truth need to be faced.. lets make ourselves stronger to face the facts and fight for the right thing...

Rajender: I am happy for you both.. though as a father we are trying to hold you from doing that.. but as a human.. we need to encourage your initiative to do good for the society.. for the students.. its something great...

Siddhant & Roli: Thank you...

All were happy...

Roli & Siddhant prepared the details of the awareness programme...

They took the statistics...

They took the paper cuttings...

They prepared powerpoint presentation...

On weekends...

They started talking appointment for awareness programme and conducted the class on Saturdays...

it was conducted in 4 batches... (9th., 10th, 11th & 12th Standard) respectively...

The awareness started spreading everywhere...

Roli & Siddhant awareness programme article came on monthly & weekly magazines...

They were awarded by the government for the initiative they have taken for the society...
