Part 14

Roli got discharged and she and Sid walked out of the hospital. Sid remembered something as he reached the entrance.
Sid: Roli, one minute, let me make a call.
Sid: Hello, is my car ready??? No???How long will it take? Okay, then bring it home by evening.
He turns with an irritated expression to Roli who was watching him intently without knowing what the matter is.
Roli: What Happened Siddhantji? You seem upset.
Sid: Roli, actually, my car broke down yesterday and I gave it for repair. They told me they'll return me this morning, but now they are saying they'll return it today evening. The problem is... I came in bike yesterday...But how will we both go by bike, that too with this bag? I think I should call a taxi...
Roli didn't want to trouble Sid more because she thought she had done it many times already.
Roli: No need Siddhantji...We'll go by bike itself...Besides this is college bag, so I can wear it. No problem.
Sid: Are you sure?
Roli: Yeah.
Sid: Then come...
Sid starts the bike and signals Roli to get on. Roli does so with the bag on her back. She holds the handle of the bike with one hand.
Sid: Roli, give me the bag. I'll wear it...
Roli: No Siddhantji...I'm okay...Besides if you wear the bag it'll be difficult to sit...
Sid: Okay then, shall we go?
Roli nods and they started moving. Both Roli and Siddhant were feeling different. For Sid's part, he never traveled with a girl other than Jhanvi on his bike. The sudden proximity that came between himself and Roli was troubling him. For Roli's side, she never traveled in bike for past 5 or 6 years. She was feeling embarrassed. The bike was a bit fast, so she wasn't getting balance. So, though hesitantly she holds Sid's shoulders. Sid was feeling different as if thousand butterflies flied over his shoulder. He looked back at Roli with the corner of his eyes and then composed himself. They were nearing the ATM and Roli remembered something.
Roli: Siddhantji, please stop here?
Sid: But why Roli:
Roli: Because I wanted to withdraw some cash from ATM. I'm already staying with you freely. Today you paid the bill also. This is not fair.
Sid: So this is how you think about us...as outsiders...Okay then, I'll stop...You pay us rent also...we are outsiders right...
Roli: No Siddhantji...please don't say so...I didn't mean it...
Sid: Whatever you mean ...
Roli: Okay then I'll not give you any cash, pakka...
Sid: Hmmm...Then now on, I'll pay for
whatever you need just as I do for Jhanvi...Okay?
Roli: Hmmm...
They started again.
Part 15

Sid knew that Roli hasn't had breakfast and himself too.
Sid: Roli: I think we should have breakfast from some hotel for it will be difficult to cook after reaching home.
Roli nodded in positive and Sid stopped the bike near a restaurant. They entered the restaurant and took their seats. The waiter came to take their orders. Sid gave the card to Roli.
Sid: Roli, order whatever you need...
Roli: You please order Siddhantji...It's okay with me.
Sid: Okay... So bring two plates of Paneer koftha, aloo paratha and sweet... gulab jamun...
Roli: Wow Siddhantji ...Your favorites are same as mine...everything, even the sweet.
Sid: That's great...
The waiter within a few minutes brought the dishes and kept it on the table. Sid and Roli started having the food. They finished and washed their hands. Sid took the bill from the table.
Sid: Roli stay here. I'll just come after paying the bill.
Roli: Ji
As Sid was paying the bill and Roli was alone, some guys started to comment badly on Roli. Roli was feeling uncomfortable and was rubbing her hands together in tension. One of the guys came near Roli and Sid noticed it.
Guy: Hi ma'am, so are you alone? Need some company?
Roli: No...
Roli noticed Sid and suddenly she got an idea. She rushed to Sid and hold his hands. Sid was utter shocked by her action.
Roli: Siddhantji...see what they are they doing?
She looked sharply at the guy while Sid was staring at her.
Roli: Ae...What are you seeing? He's Asst commissioner and I'm his wife.
Sid was hell shocked with what Roli said. This time it was his mouth which made a perfect O'. The guy's friends knew Sid and understood they'll land in trouble. So they rushed to the guy.
Friend: Ehh... whose wife you're playing with? He's asst. commissioner.
Sid decided to handle the situation.
Sid: Roli, are you okay?
Roli: Yes, Siddhantji...
Friends: Sir: He didn't do it purposefully. Please forgive him.
Guy: sorry sir...I just made some fun. I. didn't know she is your wife.
Sid: Never dare to do it again; not only with my wife but with any girl. Or else you'll be lucky enough to count the bars.
Sid looked at Roli when he said his wife. She suddenly down her eyes and a smile crept over his face.
Guy: Sorry ma'am. I'll never repeat it. Sorry sir...
The guys left.
Sid: Then let's go...wife...
Roli was really embarrassed. She felt like evaporating in to air that moment.
Roli: Siddhantji...
Sid: I understand Roli...No need to explain...Well, you've started becoming confident.
Roli: Thank you...
Sid: Let's go.

Part 16 They started roving once again. As they were traveling, Sid's phone rang. He stopped the bike and attended the call. Sid: Yes...But I'm on leave today...Okay, I'll come in 5 minutes. Roli was confused hearing the conversation. Sid: Roli, actually I got an emergency in office. I must go and see through it right now. There's no time to leave you home and I can't leave you alone also. So you come with me to office. It won't take more than half an hour. Once I complete the work we'll go home together. Roli nodded and Sid rushed to his office. Rosid reached the commissioner office. Sid got some urgent work, so he asked Roli to sit in his cabin. He asked the cyber cell officer Neha to give Roli company and he rushed for his work. Neha was a girl in mid twenties and was extremely friendly with Sid. As a matter of fact, it didn't go well with Roli. Neha and Roli entered Sid's cabin. It was a cozy, prettily managed area. Roli saw Jhanvi's photo on the desk and smiled. Neha: So you're Siddhant sir's cousin right. He told me. Roli nodded. Neha: I think you both are good friends because usually no girl other than Jhanvi is seen with Sid sir. Especially on his bike. Roli smiled. Neha continued talking. Neha: You know what? Sid sir has got an exceptional character. He's really descent. You know, if somebody else would have come with you like this, we would have definitely doubted. But as for Sid sir there is no need of such lame doubts. Roli was visibly irritated by Neha's talks. Roli's P.O.V I'm at Siddhantji's office and for no reason, I'm angry. The continues blabbering of this girl Neha is getting on my nerves. She's speaking without even trying to know if I'm interested. Sid sir, Sid sir and blah, blah, blah. But I really don't know why on earth I'm this angry. What if she talks about him? Since I have met him I'm going out of my way. I feel attracted to some guy for the first time since I'm in college. This really confuses me when I can't differentiate my feelings for him. My heart starts beating vigorously when he's near me, while my brain scolds me and reminds me that he's my friend's bro and is supposed to be my friend only. What should I do god? Sid: Roli... Roli: Haan, haan Siddhantji Sid: Roli actually. I have more work to be dealt. I don't know when I'll be able to closed them. So it wwill be better if I drop you home and then continue my work. Roli: No need Siddhantji, you proceed with your work. I'll go home by myself. Sid: Yourself? Very good. That too in this condition. No, I can't let you go so. I'll drop you home and order for your lunch and other stuff and then comeback. That's better. But you should take care.Besides Jhanvi told she'll be home by 2 in the afternoon... Roli: Okay. Roli followed Sid just glancing at Neha. Clearly she wasn't happy with her cheesy talks.Sid went to home and dropped Roli there. After ordering lunch for her he left from there. Roli recuperated completely within a few hours. Jhanvi and Amar were back soon and rest of the day passed quite uneventfully. Roli didn't see Sid that day further because he was stuck with large amount of work and returned by 12 at night when Roli was fast asleep. He got fresh and asked about her to Jhanvi casually trying to conceal his concern and on knowing she's fine he retired to bed to have a nice sleep. Part 17 Next Morning Sid is fast asleep under the blanket and Jhanvi went for bathing. Roli who already finished bathing went to kitchen and made breakfast for all of them. She took tea in a cup and headed towards Sid's room. She saw Sid sleeping on the far edge of the bed with one of his legs dangling out of the bed. It was really a cute scene and Roli couldn't stop herself from smiling. She didn't know what to do; whether to call Sid or not. She looked at the clock and saw that the time was 7:30. She thought he'll be late for work and called him. Sid who wasn't used to this literally jumped from the bed making Roli a bit scared. Roli: Tea... Sid: Tea??? Roli: Haan... Tea... Any problem? Sid: Vo no...Actually I was surprised. Your friend never does this. Instead it's my duty to wake the princess up in the morning. But tell me now, why did you enter the kitchen? Roli: Siddhantji, I was feeling bored. So I entered the kitchen and made breakfast. Sid: You made breakfast also? Why did you take trouble? Roli: No, it doesn't trouble. In fact I'm happy. Now please have this tea. Sid drank the tea and of course he loved it very much. Sid: Wow Roli, so you're a good cook. Roli: Thank you. Jhanvi was standing at the door and Sid spotted her. Sid: Jhanvi, come my little flower; see your friend brought me a tea in the morning. Have you ever bothered to do that? Jhanvi: No, but there is a reason behind it. Sid: What reason? Tell me? Jhanvi begun as if she's gonna break some big secret hidden for thousands of years. She brought Roli and Sid close to her. Jhanvi: I'll tell you. Actually I wanted my Bhaiyya to get bed tea for the first time from my bhabhi. She should get all the appreciation. If I'm doing it daily na, then he won't consider my bhabhi. He'll only love the food made by me. Sid: Oh, so that is the reason. And about the food, do you mean the same burnt aloo paratha you made the other day. Jhanvi pouted her lips and Roli laughed hearing this. After coming to this place, the few hours that she spent with these siblings has shown her how loving people can be. Sid really impressed her; really. She felt Jhanvi was really lucky to have a brother like him. Sid: Well, Jhanvi are you going to college today and what about Roli? Jhanvi: This is why I tell that you're a fool Bhaiyya... Sid: What? Am I a fool? Jhanvi: Haan...You even don't know that it's Diwali 2 days later and we're having holidays. Sid: Ohhh...I forgot it...But now we'll have to do the Diwali shopping... I think we'll go now... Jhanvi: But how? You got duty right? Sid: So only you girls get holidays for deewali, not poor officers like us? Jhanvi: Bhaiyya, so you planned everything and playing with me as if yu know nothing. Sid: Or else , Do you think I'm af ool to forget Deewali? Jhanvi: Yeah, you're. Sid: Okay Jhanvi babaji, now please go for dressing as it would take an hour for you to change. Jhanvi: Okay bhaiyya...But you're so bad. Sid laughed at this. He noticed Roli still standing idly. Sid: Roli, what are you seeing? Go change your dress. See we have lot of things to purchase. Roli: But Siddhantji, why should I come? You guys go and do the shopping. I'll stay home. Jhanvi: Are you watchman to say home and take care of the home? Come and change girl or else I'll break this empty head of yours. Roli: But.. Sid: Roli...Do as Jhanvi said. We're going .You got it? Roli hesitantly agreed finally. so this is the last one for the day or probably till saturday...plz bear me...after march I promise, I will definitely give more...luv u all

So here comes another round of updates...I don't know if I can make more till Saturday...My model exams are coming up on this 17th and besides I'm suffering from lung congestion due to which I face difficulty to breathe...So I don't know if I'll be able to write after returning from school. But for a break for you guys, I have started a small SS. I'll update at least 10 parts on Saturday...So please do wait until that...Now enjoy this... Part 18 Roli, Sid and Jhanvi were on their way to shopping mall. Sid and Jhanvi were sitting in the front seats and Roli was sitting in the back. She was hesitating a lot. Sid noticed it. Sid: Jhanvi, are we taking Roli to kill or what? See, she's hesitating lot. Roli smiled a bit. Jhanvi: You know bhaiyya...She isn't that silent as she seems. You know she sings well... Sid: Really? Then you should sing today once we reach home... Roli: No Siddhantji...Nothing like that... Sid: It okay if it's nothing like that. But you sing simply. I suffer my sister's worst singing as and when...So I can adjust if it's bad too. Roli laughed. Jhanvi: I'm noticing since yesterday. This Bhaiyya is supporting Roli and pulling my legs. Sid: Nothing like that my princess. I was just joking. You're my sweetie, as always... He just stroked her head. Jhanvi: I know Bhaiyya, I was just joking. Roli smiled seeing the affection of the siblings. Finally after lot of fun and loose talks they reached the mall. Sid: Girls...I think it will be better if we go for selecting dresses as it consumes more time... Jhanvi: Yeah Bhaiyya...You know I want that long gown which those film actresses wear during award functions. Sid: Ya...I don't have any objection in you choosing it. But Make sure that you don't step in that long gown and fall head over heels... Jhanvi: Bhaiyya... Roli smiled at the commotion. But she thoroughly enjoyed all their puppy fights. Now the trio headed towards the mall to do their shopping. Part 19 The team of Jhanvi, Roli and Sid are in the mall. Jhanvi was hurrying to choose her dress and so they headed towards the girl's section. Sid sat in the chair carelessly watching the girls choosing their dress. Jhanvi was pulling out each dress and testing it on herself and Roli. Roli seemed uninterested as she knows Sid only will pay for her dress. She wasn't completely okay with it. But at times her very own mind asks her: "Is he a stranger to you?" Some things are best if you leave them unanswered, she thought to herself. Sid was watching Roli with the corner of his eyes darting them back and forth whenever her eyes fell on him. On one such moment he noticed a beautiful red salwar in the shelf. He immediately felt that it would suit Roli. He hesitated to say, for he didn't want to engage himself in her personal stuff. But the thought of the way the dress would look on Roli tempted him to suggest it to her. He rose from his chair and went near the girls. Sid: Hmmm Roli...I mean...Don't take me wrong...If you don't mind why can't you try that red salwar over there? Jhanvi: Which one, please show me that... The salesgirl handed over the dress to Jhanvi. Roli's eyes illuminated as she loved his selection. This was the sort of outfit which she wished for. She wondered how her likes correlated with his. Hiding the blush that appeared on her cheeks, she smiled at him. Jhanvi: Wow...this will suit Roli to the fullest. Thank god, at least now my bro started to act smart. Sid stared at Jhanvi and darted his eyes to Roli to know her opinion. She smiled through her eyes which instantly made him realize that she liked his selection. Roli: This is so cute...Simple but beautiful...I loved it. Jhanvi: You loved it but you don't wanna know if it's fit for you. Just go to the trial room and check whilst I'll see whether this white one will suit me... Roli: Okay... The girls walked towards the trial room leaving Sid to his own thoughts. Part 20 Roli and Jhanvi came out of the dressing rooms. Sid's eyes fell on Roli as if there's no tomorrow Sid kept looking in to his eyes. Roli noticed that Sid's eyes are on her and blushed. For poor Jhanvi she wasn't listened by the duo. Jhanvi looked Roli and Sid and she understood they aren't in the world. A small doubt came to her mind but she neglected it. She stood before Sid and waved her fingers before his eyes. It was then when he came to consciousness. Roli was too snapped out of her dream world. Sid:Jhanvi...Vo...me...I...you... Jhanvi: Don't sing a,e,i,o,u...this isn't a K.G class. God knows where you're lost. Sid: Nowhere...By the way my princess, you look so cute... Jhanvi melted at this. She smiled at Sid and that was exactly Sid wanted. Jhanvi: Then, I'll choose this one itself. Roli, are you done with the dress? Roli: Yeah...It's okay for me. Jhanvi: Then com, we'll choose a suit for Bhaiyya... Roli: Okay... The trio headed towards the Men's section. Jhanvi was taking each suit, testing it on Sid and then rejecting it. Sid was literally fed up with it. But as for him; his little sister meant a lot and so her likes are his likes. Roli was watching this one as a spectator. Jhanvi: Come and help me naa...See either all these suits are bad that they do not suit bhaiyya or my Bhaiyya is bad that all these good suits doesn't go well with him...I don't know...Anyway you just come na yaar... Roli joined with them hesitantly whilst her eyes lazily pondered through the shelf. That was when she noticed a red and black suit. Instantly she felt that it would suit him. She didn't want to say that but by the sort of look in her eyes Sid understood that she loved the suit. Sid: Jhanvi, what about that red and black suit over there. Jhanvi glanced at it and she instantly liked it. Jhanvi: Wow...That's so cute...I think it will suit you...Just go and check it. Sid: Stop it...We boys don't check all these things as you girls do. I'll just see the size, if it's okay, then we'll confirm it. Jhanvi: Okay. Sid checked the size and all and confirmed the suit. He didn't even want to check it because he felt that Roli's selection will be perfect for him. He couldn't differentiate the feeling growing inside him for her. But he doubted if he had a crush on her. Well...In less than 3 hours the trio finished their shopping, had lunch and headed back home. The rest of the day was quite uneventful. It passed with the confused feelings of Roli and Siddhant for each other. Part 21 Next day. It was around 11 in the morning. Jhanvi went out with Amar and Roli and Sid were left back at home. Roli was cleaning the home and Sid was helping her with it. As Roli was cleaning one of the cupboards, she noticed some dust accumulated on top of it. Roli drew a stool and stood on it for cleaning. She started cleaning it whilst she was in great dread of falling. As it is, if you're too afraid of something, then the thing is more likely to happen. So Roli lost her balance and she fell on the floor. Sid heard the voice and came in. He saw Roli on the floor and understood what happened. Sid: Shit...Roli...Why did you do this? You'd have called me...See...Give me your hands... Roli tried to get up and give him her hands but she couldn't do it in pain. Sid understood that she can't get up. So he scooped her in his arms. For a moment Roli forgot all the pain and looked in to his eyes. Sid was also equally lost on her. Sid walked with Roli to her room without breaking the eye lock. He put her on the bed and stood straight. As if remembered something he composed himself. He took a pain balm from the mantelpiece and handed it over to Roli. Sid: Roli, it must be paining. See here is the balm. Apply it...I'll stay out and...I'll call Jhanvi because, I can't help you with this... Saying this he stormed out of the room. Roli was surprised but it definitely augmented her respect for him. She thought, if it was some other guy, he would have taken advantage of the situation. But he didn't. It shows the clarity of his mind. She smiled to herself as she took the balm and applied on the paining region. Soon Jhanvi, was back and she helped Roli with the balm and all such stuff.
