BACK AT ROLI'S APARTMENT - EVENING

The doorbell RINGS.

Meena opens the door. It's Jamanlal. He walks looking all flustered and pulls off his tie.

MEENA: How was your day, dear?

JAMANLAL: (sits down and pulls out his shoes) Very hectic, Meena. Very hectic! That stupid supplier! I'm going to kill them tomorrow!

MEENA: Why? What happened?

JAMANLAL: Those buggers were supposed to bring in the order today, and they didn't! As usual! Do you know what this means? A big headache for our department! I had to answer a zillion stupid questions today! Hey Bhagwan! I'm so fed up!

MEENA: Let me bring you some tea. You'll feel much better.

JAMANLAL: Yes Meena. That would be wonderful.

Meena disappears into the kitchen.

Jamanlal leans back onto the couch and turns on the T.V.

Meena returns with a cup of tea.

JAMANLAL: (takes the cup) Thank you dear. Didn't Roli get back yet?

MEENA: Haan. She had a party this evening, so she's gone for that.

JAMANLAL: What party?

MEENA: Office party. With her colleagues and boss and all...

JAMANLAL: Is it? She never told me about it.

MEENA: She didn't?

JAMANLAL: No, hang on.

Jamanlal pulls out his cell phone and calls Roli... but...

BACK IN THE CAB

The cab cruises along the city streets and goes through unknown localities. Roli is in a state of panic.

ROLI: (shouts) Stop now! Or I'll call the cops!

They don't pay attention. The driver's accomplice chews on some paan and turns to look at her. She is disgusted as he bares a set of stinking, tobacco stained, awkward set of teeth.

BACK AT ROLI'S APARTMENT

JAMANLAL: (irritated) Why's this call not going through? Where did she go? Any idea?

MEENA: She said she'll be headed to the beach, the creek etc.

JAMANLAL: Who all are there with her?

MEENA: Her colleagues.

JAMANLAL: Any boys?

MEENA: Ya... two of her colleagues and her boss.

JAMANLAL: Teek hai... will try her later. Maybe some network problem.

BACK IN THE CAB

Roli tries to call up 100. But the call doesn't get through.

Hey Matarani, she prays fervently, please get me out of this unscathed.

She looks around desperately. She has no clue where she's being taken to!

ROLI: Where the hell are you taking me? Stop this car or I'll scream!

The driver glowers at her through the rear view mirror. The accomplice turns to look at her.

ACCOMPLICE: (in a creepy voice) Scream.

Roli is stunned.

ACCOMPLICE: Come on, scream.

Roli just looks at him. Her brains come to a grinding halt.

ACCOMPLICE: What happened? Lost your voice? Come on! Scream!

Roli's phone vibrates in her hand. She quickly glances at it. Two messages... one from Atul and the other from Siddhant.

ACCOMPLICE: Scream, bitch! Or do you want me to make you?

Roli's finger fumbles around the touch screen of her phone. She blindly opens up one of the messages and fiddles around with the options with the hope to send a message. Instead, she accidentally presses the call button. The call begins to go through... to Siddhant...

The accomplice reaches out and grabs her hand.

ROLI: (shrieks) Get off!

ACCOMPLICE: You want to scream, huh?

ROLI: I SAID GET OFF!

The accomplice slithers to the back seat and pounces on her.

AT THE CROWNE PLAZA

Siddhant is with Anand Thackeray.

Suddenly, his phone starts to RING. He is surprised to see Roli calling him.

Why's she calling, he wonders, should I take the call? Hope she doesn't want to question me about something...

He makes up his mind and answers the call...
