Part 7

The days were passing...

Roli & Siddhant were growing...

They were friends in real...

But do fight and pull legs of the other whenever possible..

When they were about 4 years age.

Sujatha & Meena went to market..

While returning, they bought bangles, ear rings, for Simar & ROli...

Simar took her things & went to her house to keep it in her cupboard.

Roli took all those & went to Siddhant.

Roli: Siddhant, look at this.. All new i got today. Sujatha Maaji bring these for me..

Siddhant: New...for you alone..

SIddhant went to Sujatha..

Siddhant: Maaji, you bring all for ROli alone? Nothing for me?

Sujatha: Siddhant, Can you wear these bangles or ear rings? That is why i did not buy for you.

Siddhant: No i dont know. I too want the bangles & ear rings...

Sujatha & Mataji tried to explain him. But he did not hear..

Siddhant took the bangle of Roli & wear it on his hands the whole evening...

Roli started crying...

Sujatha: Roli, dont cry.. He is boy & he cant wear bangle. Let him wear for something & he will return.

Sujatha consol ROli...

Rajender & Jamanlal who returned from office laughed at Siddhant seeing him wearing bangle..

Rajender: Siddhant, what is this?

Siddhant: Bangle..

Rajender: That i know. But why are you wearing this?

Siddhant: This maaji bring new from the market for Roli.. But i took it from her.

Rajender took Siddhant in his lap.

Rajender: Siddhant, see mother she wear bangles, ear rings etc. Look at me am i wearing all those... These items are meant for girls and not for us. Are you a girl?

Siddhant: No Pappa.

Rajender: Then why you are wearing. Remove it and give it back to Roli.

Siddhant: But Then what can i wear..

Rajender: Instead of bangle, i will buy watch for you tomorrow. Ok?

Siddhnat: Ok.

Siddhant got excited and gave back the bangle to Roli...

Part 8

The days were passsing..

Roli was playing with a Barbie doll..

Siddhant came behind her and pulled the doll from her and ran from there.

Roli came running to mataji.

Roli: Mataji, Siddhant took my doll when i was playing..

Mataji: SIddhant...

Siddhant came to mataji on her calling..

Mataji: Why you took the doll from ROli when she was playing?

Siddhant: Then what why she is playing with this doll always. I am calling her to play with me but she is not coming..

Mataji: Roli, you too play with Siddhant when he calls you. Then he will not do like that See how Prem & Simar play together..

Roli: Mataji he is calling to play ball with him. But i like t play with this doll..

Mataji: Roli, By playing with ball you will get to play outdoor right. Playing with doll is indoor game.. So you play with him for sometime so that it is good for your health too.

ROli: Ok Mataji..

Roli hold SIddhant hands and went out to play with him...

One day...

Siddhant got fever..

Roli denied to got to school.

Mataji: Roli, he is only unwell. You go to school.

Roli: Mataji, i wont go to school alone without him...

Mataji: Why ROli?

Roli: I will feel bored without him.

Mataji: See Meena, in this age itself these kids are feeling bored? Roli, But your lessons will be missed right.

Roli: Mataji, but Siddhant too miss his lessons. So let me too.

Mataji: But only if you attend the class atleast you can teach him what was taught in the school.

Roli: I can also ask my friend tomorrow and ask what was taught..

Mataji: I cant win arguing with these kids. Meena, let her take leave today..

Roli was beside Siddhant only till he recovered from illness and only started going to school with him.

Mataji was surprised..

Mataji was thinking, ROli & SIddhant both unable to stay away from each other. Siddhant feels bad if ROli did not come to play with him while ROli feels bad to even go to school without him... Some strange closeness is between them...

Part 9

It was a weekend...

Roli was given oil bath to her hair..

Meena neatly comb her hair and put a small clip to hold a bunch of hair and told her to play..

Siddhant who saw that wondered with her long hair...

On seeing her hair he got idea of mischief...

Siddhant went behind her and took out the clip and also pulled her hair...

ROli started crying...

Siddhant knows she will go to Mataji.. So he himself came near her..

Siddhant: ROli, dont cry & go to Mataji. You are a cry baby.. Take this clip...

Roli: I am not a cry baby..

Siddhant: Then why you always cry..

Roli: Because it was paining when you pull my hair..

Siddhant: Ok Sorry. I will not pull your hair ok.

Roli: Ok. But you removed this clip..

Siddhant: I will help you to put...

Siddhant himself took the bunch of hair and put the clip..

Then they join their hands and went out to play together...

One day ROli & Siddhant were studying sitting opposite to each other.

Siddhant was wearing a sports show which his father bought for him the previous day...

Roli remembered Siddhant pulled her hair..

So ROli silently remove the know of the lays and tied both legs lays together.

Siddhant did not realise it..

They continued their studies and finished reading in a while.

Sujatha called Siddhant to have dinner.

Siddhant rushed to get up and as his lays tied together he fell down...

He got sprain in the leg..

Roli who did not think to hurt him was tensed.

Roli immediately removed the know in the lays and helped him to get up.

Roli: Sorry Siddhant.. I only did this. But not to make to fall down. Just for fun i did.

Roli started crying...

Siddhant: Roli.. its ok. You cry when you get pain as well as when i get pain. You are cry baby only...

Roli: I am not cry baby.

She said in down voice...

Siddhant: Cry baby... Cry baby...

Since then Siddhant tease her calling her as Cry baby...

Part 10

Roli as well as Siddhant were close to each other than they are with their school friends or to their siblings.

Simar & Prem though siblings of Roli & Siddhant, they let both of them play together and they play between them.

In the school also, Roli & Siddhant sit beside each other. After reaching home also, the studies, breakfast, lunch, dinner everything is together only.

Their happiness, fighting, arguments everything between them only...

They hold each other hands when they walk and that is their usual habit.

Even when they go out for any shopping or to celebrations or to mandir, still they stay together holding their hands...

In case of sickness, then no way that they move away from each other at any cost...No one can separate them and tell them to go to school or classes...

The days were passing..

Roli & Siddhant were growing...

They were not only good at studies but also in sports.

Siddhant as well as Roli were good in games like Badminton, Basketball, Volley ball ..

Also both were interested in dance.

Mataji arranged for dancing classes and both were getting training in that too...

Slowly Roli & Siddhant reached teenage...

Mataji was in deep thinking...

Sujatha went to Mataji to give tea and looked at Mataji.

Sujatha: Mataji, what happend? Why you seems to be so bothered?

Mataji: Sujatha, nothing big..

Sujatha: Let it be big or small. But tell me what is bothering..

Mataji: Sujatha, I cant understand how to tell this.

Sujatha was wondering what she is talking about...

Mataji: Sujatha, After reaching teenage Prem & Simar started maintaining distance between them on their own. They are matured enough to understand anything. But this ROli & Siddhant, see they are still like small children.

Sujatha: Mataji, i think there is no need to worry on this. They are only friends.

Mataji: Sujatha.. I know they are only friends, but what about the society. Can we give explanation to the society going to individual that they are only friends. But seeing them together always roaming everywhere holding their hands will automatically make them to gossip..

Sujatha: I agree Mataji. What you wish to do now?

Mataji: That is what i was thinking of. We know they are only friends. But we need to explain them in diplomatic way so that they realise and start maintaining a distance between them like Prem & Simar. Also they should not take it in wrong way that we are having any problem in that...

Sujatha: Mataji, i feel it is better to inform Meena also about this and you yourself talk to both and make them understand as they hear your words better than any of us.

Mataji agreed.

Mataji informed Meena on this while Meena too gave the same concern about them to Mataji.

Mataji decided to talk to Roli & Siddhant on this...

That weekend after having lunch Mataji called Roli & Siddhant to her room.

Mataji: Roli & Siddhant i got something to talk to you.

Roli: Tell us mataji..

Roli looked at her curiously when still Roli & Siddhant hands were joined and Roli on leaning on his hands..

Mataji was hesitating to start the topic..

She was feeling like something blocking her throat and she adjusted.

Roli & Siddhant were wondering as they never seen Mataji hesitate so much to talk to them.

Siddhant: What happend Mataji? You seems to be tensed.

Mataji: Siddhant, i wish you both understand what i am trying to say instead of mistaking me..

Roli: Mistaking you.. Mataji how can we mistake you!!

Siddhant: Exactly.. What you are going to talk that we mistake you?

Mataji: Roli & Siddhant, i wish to talk about you both only.

Siddhant: About us!! What it is?

Mataji: I wish you both notice Prem & Simar. They were playing together like you both since their childhood. But when they reached teenage, they realised there is need to maintain a distance. Also they implemented it. Likewise you both...

Roli & Siddhant now realised what she is talking about...

Roli moved a little from leaning on his hands...

Then Roli & Siddhant looked at each other...

Roli tried to separate her hands from his hold...

Siddhant was not ready to leave the hold.

Roli looked at him...

Siddhant: Mataji, do you have any concern or doubt on our friendship?

Mataji: Not at all. I am only telling for the society.

Siddhant: Mataji. Which society you are talking about? They are not going to come to help us when we are in need. They only come forward to do gossip.

Mataji: But why we need to give chance for that gossip.

Siddhant: Mataji, I am not going to care about any such gossip. ROli is my friend. I am going to continue the same friendship with her forever. If we move away from each other suddenly as you said then that only others will feel odd. May even think there is some problem between us and that is the reason we got separated... Hope you understand what i mean..

Mataji was stunned on his argument...

Roli was also speechless as she never seen Siddhant talking to Mataji like that..

Siddhant: Mataji, again i am clarifying there is nothing much above friendship between us and we are least bothered about the others who just gossip with no base. Is there anything else to discuss other than this.

Mataji understood he is no more interested to discuss in that topic...

Mataji nod her head as 'Nothing'

Siddhant: ROli lets go. We are getting late for dance class.

Siddhant went out of the room holding Roli's hands...
