I was the only one in the house of 5 girls who knew little cooking... 😉😆😆 I was so happy & proud of myself... and gradually learned... when I went to India for the First time... and When I Cooked... everyone was like... wow you learned on your own... 😃 and You can even Cook good... Tasty Food sometime... 😃🥳
but ya I agree Insult can make you Learn Cooking... if it's made to make you Learn... but I don't like when Someone Purposefully Taunt You & Insult You to look good...by making you Low... 🤢

Well, at least you learned well...I have a cousin who after marriage still didn't bother to learn and they eat take out food everyday or the hubby cooks. 😆

She can't deny that . Day she will cook food , not to mention Amazing food , she too can give back tHe insult . She can right now too but It will not change the fact other than her husband is the boss so she will get away with return Isult but it will not change the point of insult . NOT ABLE TO COOK. bigger problem is that.

Living in America how did you learn British English over American English? 😕😆

Netri as you rightly pointed out bijalani insulting suhana regarding her cooking will work as catalyst and now suhana will try and learn cooking from madhuri godbole who by end of this mumbai track will turn into another dolly didi/meena😊

I get the feeling they brought this maid in to do the job of Meena in giving such spicy advice to Suhana, especially with Sona coming in soon like how they did with jealousy track. 😆

Many of us don't want to go in to kitchen , but V still go & learn the craft bcauz it is expected of us. Just as whn People find bride for groom they expect groom to earn decent money & girl to know how to cook . They don't say if groom can't earn sigle money its ok . Let him take his time . No one gave Suhana bitter truth of life , Bijlanis r reality . If U think U don't have one single Aunt , Uncle or Cousins in ur family who don't insult people for less things than unable to make Gulab Jamun then U r mistaken . I saw one aunt of my insulted my mom in front of me , saying she makes moti rotis . I told her she knows how to make patli rotis but she is cooking for 15 people , when U have to make 50 rotis then come & tell us how V should cook .My mom yelled at me for being disrespectful but aunt never critisize my mom's cooking again.

OMG!! Opposite happened with me...one time I criticized mom's cooking...more like how she didn't used to make a lot of variety like my chachi does...and I said this in front of my grandma who always loves to insult my mom or any opportunity in which mom is demeaned/criticized...I just said it offhandedly because I was hoping she would make me cake. 😆 But I got a nice thappad instead. 🤣 And ya, she got so mad at me...rightfully so because she is under a lot of pressure having to cook for so many people but my chachi has to cook for very few people but I didn't realize then...plus I happened to make the comment during the time mom was facing health issues and couldn't exactly cook great extravagant dishes or learn new recipes (but I wasn't aware then). So ya, I was so upset that why I got thappad and a huge lashing because of a small comment...and it probably took me a year to finally realize why cause my mom never told me why. 😆 So ya, before you criticize or demean people, at least understand what they're going through or what the circumstances are. Comparisons will always hit a nerve. 😕

My aunt & My mom gets along very well . They never compare themselves with each other , outsiders did. Which hurt my mom alot .They both have sisters like relationship. But both grew up in different circumstances. So naturally My Mom being the Eldest Daughter & DIL of the house had to secrifice more. That's Y Rajni reminds me so much of my mom , I can relate to her . The way Rajni is upto her neck & has to find time for meethi's homework , My mom too It was hard. So I can more or less relte to it. I used to think my mom is weak as she never stood up for her self U know . I regreat it now , she told me what she did is hard. It is always easy to loose cool & say hurt ful things in anger but To drink the Zaher of Insult & prove other wrong by doing the right thing is hard. I so try to achieve it but fail misrabley...

As for my Co-Worker I gave her nicely back . But never show others what went between us . For sake of work environment My Boss had to ask both of us what went that day . But he too understood what was wrong . If U ask any of my co-workers they won't believe as I said things this way . But unless I m provoked I won't say anything . For me thing ended that moment & time . For her it lasted for a month . As V have to work togather & she was wrong so she had to go back to normal.

English is English , words r different , spellings r different like yogurt - curd same thing different names. Colour - color r same thing different spelling . I don't know U understand this or not but V indians learn English from Brits as they spend 200 years in india... bole toh RANI KAA RAJ THAA

Even I want to be able to drink in poison and do right but I always end up giving tit for tat. 😆 My dad always constantly told me that I can't be like this and even my mom was like what's going to happen when you get married? You can't be like this...you need to learn to swallow things better. But I don't know how I can do this...I liveby the Hammurabi code: eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. 😆

Oh yeah, I can just imagine...she's probably defintely feeling resentful of you. 😆 I bet she's waiting for some weakness of yours to show up so she can get you down without falling in the same pit as last time. 🤣

yup tolerance shows how brave a person is from inside and also Action speaks louder than Words. In a relationship or better say in a joint family if one is blunt or insulting other one needs to be quiet and that doesn't shows he/she is coward it shows their strength and that's how they are able to survive together. Even my mom is the same but I can't take it most of the times

But how much should one absorb other's insults and/or bitterness? I mean, is it wrong to put someone in their place too? When you're quiet about it, ya, it might be strong of you...but you're still letting others walk over you, y'know.
