My views on SGP

Hello everyone, I am Bhavi 😊

Well, this is my 1^st topic abt this show. I would want to share my views on SGP until now.

When I 1^st saw the promo, I was smitten by the wonderful cast.😳 The cast itself showed that the show is going to be a refreshing change from the regular saas bahu 🤢and same ghisapita youth based romantic shows😳.

The show started off on a slow pace, but it was good to see some normal introduction to the characters rather than having them jump in front of the screen with some gaana bajaana.🥱🥱🥱

The sets look believable, the wardrobes are apt. 👍🏼The family members are not packed with over makeup, same kind of hairstyles, heavy jewelry and kanchivaram sarees.

Coming to the characters; Badima ⭐️– my fav amongst all, I still see her as the naughty bahu "radha" from tu tu main main. Badima's hubby has left her and settled abroad with someone else. Even though she had to live alone without her hubby she is not a dukhi aatma or rona dhona types. She made her sasural her family and runs the family with authority.One strong lady here.👏

Alok and Ranoo- Ok they don't look like they have shaadi shuda kids and bahus. 😆But they show good concern to their responsibilities. I like the fact that Alok gives his monthly income to Badimaa 👏and I love the fact that Ranno has no issues with it. 👏

2 betas and 2 bahus: my fav rajni ( kaajal bhai from hum paanch😎) she looks beautiful in sarees. Though I found her hubby's moustache fake.😆 The 2^ndcouple story is also interesting, wife working and hubby jhak maaring happens in real life too but it was also cute to see both of them in love.😳

Dada- dadi: I love the dadi, 🤗she is my "GM" from the show Mere ghar ayi ek nanhin pari. And she was mind-blowing in that show and in SGP she never fails to impress me. I loved her sharmana and specially the patang- udao scene.😆😆

Kamal kishore bajpai and Sanjana: He is apt to play the concerned father with enough seriousness who wants to get his daughter married along with the right amount of naughtiness. The father character will never be boring for me until Mahesh Thakur is playing it. Btw I still remember him from tut u main main – radha's husband.⭐️

The character of sanju is replaced but I kind of liked the 1^st one. Very different from her sister, although born and brought up in the same atmosphere as suhana but still very down to earth. 😃

Suhana- very cute in the dresses, her child like talk and baby expressions makes her look like a pampered kid.😳 For a change the female lead is not clad to salwaar kameez or sarees. 🤔And most importantly she is outspoken and brave. Hope she remains that way.😊

Ishaan- he is cute in his own way.😉 I love the way he pushes his specs back and pulls his shirt together.😆 For a change the male lead is not a macho guy with bikes, flirt by nature.🥱 He is not even a momma's boy.

The most interesting part of the sasural part of the show is that the house is full of love marriages, 😆from dada dadi to the last pair who ever got married. There is no vamp, no strict father/mother and specially no high volt drama. 👍🏼Even with the most casual scenes, I am made to wait for the next episode. 😃After a tiring day I can give my 20 minutes to watch such a sensible show, which will decrease my stress and provides me entertainment too.

I would like to know, what was the "thing" about this show which keeps you entertained.

PS: plz don't say Ragini, as I am asking abt the characters or story or etc etc. I hope u guys got my point.😊

ok what should i say... I just Love everything about this show... every characters and the way they present themselves in the show👏 its so simple yet touching and loving... i would love to be a bahu of a family like Ishaan's...😳

There are other shows which I started watching and liked it but then stopped watching because there was nothing new or different...but this show is something that makes me seat back and enjoy each and every moment 😃

@t-akhter- Yeah i liked ur answer regarding -want to be a bahu of such a household.
today when couples want to live separate from the family and relatives , this show comes with a ray of hope and gives a good feel about a joint family.
this joint family is also not perfect, it has its own share of problems but yet believable.

Welcome to SGP section.

The sole reason for which I am watching this show is because the show is different; it is a breath of fresh air for me.😃 So far I have enjoyed every single episode of SGP and I am looking forward to Ishaan and Suhana track. They are going to set a new trend as far as Indian television Jodis are concerned. They might not give you the romantic songs as the background score whilst the pair dances in the rain but there is loads of nokh jhok between two odd people living under the same roof as husband and wife. This is indeed a breath of fresh air for me.

I think majority of the people are watching the show as it comes out to be a refreshing change and is not like the old ones.
And yes, there might not be any filmy songs or big BG music playing in the background when our cute couple have an eyelock 😆
But do u think such normal show can survive amongst these high volt dramas with suspense and dhum tana nana music.
Indian audience is very much used to the K shows and it will take a lot of time to set up new standards.
Very few projects come up with a sensible story and good entertainment but are butchered due to lack of trps.

@Ananya- Yeah lets hope this show comes down as a start to new different era of Indian television - where the audience gets to see sensible stuff

and yes SGP has the so called" sasural " word tagged to pull the regular masala viewers towards the show 😉

D show is just wow very different from d normal rona dhona stuff....I think we can rekate to d characters dey r not over d top mahan aatmas simple nd sweet characters.....dis show is such a big relief frim d normal saas bahu stufff....I really hope dat people appreciate dis gud work wonder i seriously wonder why d audience always wish to see rona dhona why cant dey enjoy shows lyk sgp... I thinkwe all shuld appreciate d creatives for giving us sgp... I got attracted towards dis show bcoz of d cast especially Ishaan....I just loved Ishaan in d promos.....
Well talking about d characters...all d characters seem so real...thank goddey dont wear dose heavy stuffs i hate women clad in heavy makeups nd jewellery24/7....nd d most imp part dey r wearin sweaters in winters pderwise in rest of d shows people r shown wearing half sleeves in winter he he....I agree bdima is a very sweet lady ... Even i cant get enogh of her as radha i just loved her in tu tu nd now also i m lovin her...even after her hubby left her she didnt leave her sasural... Her hubby cheated on her still she loves nd cares for all d people...thank god she is not shown crying over this thing afterall aaj ki naari she can handle herself nd her family on her own.....Ishaan's mum nd dad man mum doesnt luk lyk mum's age she luks young yaar... I sometymes get annoyed by her ishaan k shaadi nhi ho rhi types talks but at d end she is a mother waiting to see her son getting married... Ishaan's mum dad make a very cute couple indeed... Me too love it dat he gives his salary to bdimom so sweet of him......
Coming to bhaiya bhabhi dey r just perfect nd I m just loving d two bhabis doing gr8 job

Radha bua hmmmmm sweet lady i hope she fixes up all d probs wid her sin soin bcoz i feel she lives her son a lot just cant express it wonder wat has happened wid her in d past.... Oderwise a perfect bua...
Now comin to my Ishaan awww I just cant resist him such a simple guy.... He seems lyk a real person who also wants to get loved but is sooo shy ki ldki se dhang se baat bhi nhi kr paata.... Watever i just love him cant stop praising him....
Suhana's character is complicated yet sweet... Just a lil bit pampered but still a gal havin a golden heart.... Both d sis r soo diff but i lyk both of dem,... Vse I agree previous sanju was better d role suited her....
Nd now i m w8ing for shailesh to enter bcoz my real lyf jij is just lyk shailesh's character only indirectly always seeking for attention feeling proudy yes i m damad of dis house watever description was given my jiju matches it all lols....
I want dem to get married soon i just want to see suhaan together... It wuld be so refreshing to watch dis couple....I just cant wait for d post marriage scenario....
nd i jusr want to say all d actors r doing brilliant job dey r ricking... I hope dis show tops d trp chart,....Well thanks for bearing dis post of mine. He he ..

U made a long post but belive me it was a pleasure to read every word for you spoke my heart...the show exactly captured the flavour of the original version so I am sure it will be a hit.
