Saravanan and Meenatchi was compared to Romeo and Juliet many times, even in other shows. The V&M interlude lasted way too long and made this love story ugly. Since she had her memory loss, as if someone was under drugs, the whole thing could be forgotten as a bad dream as in Moonram Pirai.

Still, it is not going to be as good as Romeo & Juliet. Just have to wait and see. The whole V&M episode is going to remain an ugly spot for Meenatchi.

The build up for Saravanan's return is big. Hope, the director has some great plans to wipe out the ugly spot Vettaiyan had made in Meenatchi's life while she had her memory loss. It is like someone was raped while under the influence of drug; V had taken advantage of her. Though she can be excused, the sting remains.

The beauty of the love story is lost or enhanced depends on what is going to happen next. the director has a whole lot of work to make the characters Saravanan and Meenatchi look clean again; and to make the love story look beautiful again.

After all, the director didn't forget the story he started. At least it looks like it.

I don't think the director remember the old story. Already spoiled the complete story...

I am unable to bear the romance between vettaiyan and meenakshi as she lost all the memory...

I don't bother if meenakshi will join with vettaiyan after getting her memory back, analyze the situation, accept vettaiyan for all he done.

It is not Saravanan Meenatchi. That's supposed to be a true love story.
It is not another KMKV because there is no love at the end, but only analysis. Hey, this is not a math class

If there is hope of salvaging the story, I was thinking of start watching it again; otherwise no use.

I watched the Kathy parts. It was interesting and funny. That's about it.

Also here more people are used to follow vettaiyan and meenakshi... But I cant tolerate this track at all.

yes I also agree that going back to ex boy friend will never accepted by tamil audience. But there are few audience like us are still watching for the brand name Saravanan Meenakshi and for the love between the saravanan and meenakshi.

As I am telling from the day when vettaiyan and meenakashi track started that better stop the serial, don't spoil the name Saravanan and meenakshi. If the director wont to popularize kavin and rachitha, then start a new serial with both of them as lead pair. I don't have any problem to watch a new story with kavin and rachita as leads.

Meenakshi character was designed one of its kind from SM1 and beginning of SM2. But nowadays meenakshi character also getting spoiled by name of vettaiyan.

Vettaiyan's character is the only one which hasn't changed with the time. He always loved & adored Meenakshi even after knowing she despises him a lot. For me Vettaiyan & Meenakahi make a cute couple. This Saravanan's track will be a passing cloud obviously.

Exactly .. I started watching the serial continuously only after VM marriage .. May be because I like Kavin better than irfan or vetri .. Hope
Meenu remains same even if she regains memory., the build up given for saravanan currently is so

I am not a big of fan of Kathi's over built of Saravanan either. I wish they won't bring that character in. Sure, the title of the serial is SM. It is a continuation of the previous characters and is still the same serial. It doesn't really mean it represents the current S (wherever he is) and M. Also, V's name also has S's name in it. We can in pretty much interpret the title in many ways. V has outperformed the S's character in many ways. I would probably stop watching if M starts falling in love with S again. How many times are they going to show her going back and forth? That would be totally annoying!
