Previously: He brought his lips close to hers while she shivered.

Their lips were only an inch away when thunder struck and they parted. Kumud started feeling everything blur around her and she started feeling dizzy, before she knew what was happening to her, everything blacked out.
Saras saw her standing with her hand on her temple. He knew that it must be the effect of alcohol so he caught her just when she fainted. He took her in his arms, he had to get her to her room, she was already drenched.
He entered the hotel through the back door and that's when Saras realized that he didn't have the key to her room.
"I'll have to take her to my room." Saras pressed the number 9 button in the elevator and the doors closed. Saras knew that she was going to hate him for taking her to his room but he couldn't bring himself to trust Aryan and Kusum, he couldn't take any risk when it came to her. He clearly remembered the day when Aryan had introduced her to his family. He had unknowingly developed some feelings for her but he always ignored it.
He walked through the corridor avoiding people's gaze and struggled to open the door. He carefully laid her on the bed and removed her stilettos. He bent down to pull the covers on her but one of her earings got stuck in his shirt. He tried to remove it but was unsuccessful in doing so. Saras then removed her earring from her right ear and went to change. Before going to the washroom, he dropped his shirt on the sofa and opened the cupboard. He disappeared into the washroom for a few minutes.
"I have to change her clothes or else she will fall sick," Saras hesitated, he could not do this but at the same time, he could not let her remain in her wet clothes. He was brought back from his thoughts when he saw her shivering. He took out one of his shirts from the cupboard and made her change quickly and sat on the couch while keeping a watch on her.

"Where am I?" Kumud wondered while placing her hands on both sides of her head to stop the pain. Her head was paining badly and on top of that, she didn't even know where she was. She looked around the room to see if she could find anything familiar. She knew that she was in the hotel as all the suites were alike but whose? She pressed her forehead to try to recall what had happened. Flashes of her dancing and in the rain with Saras appeared. Her gaze fell on the dress she was wearing last night, she found herself in a shirt and became conscious of what was happening.
Kumud was still in shock when she saw the door opening and saw Saras standing. All made sense to her, Saras had spiked her drink only to... tears started flowing out of her eyes upon the realization. Saras rushed by her side but before he could say anything, she blasted at him.
"How dare you?"
Saras was confused now, he thought that she might be upset because he had brought her in his room.
"Actually Kumud, you were drunk yesterday and you had fainted so I brought you here because I could not find the key to your room..."
She could not believe her ears, he had the guts to face her after what he had done," Shame on you Saras, I always thought that you were a trustworthy person but after what you did today...I'll never forgive you... you took advantage of me by mixing something in my drink,! " she yelled at him.
Saras never thought that she would accuse him for such a thing, "Kumud, listen to me, I didn't do anything..."
But Kumud was not ready to listen to him, she was weeping badly and it pained him to see her in this state because of him, or because of a misunderstanding.
Kumud grabbed her dress and went to the washroom to change. She looked at him with teary eyes, "Why did you do this Saras?"
"Kumud, listen to me, I didn't do anything, I only helped you..."
She then saw one of her earrings in his shirt. She pointed out in the direction of the shirt," Is this what you call help, how cheap of you to do such a thing ?"
Before he could get a chance to explain everything, she ran out of there and left Saras guilty, he could not bear to see her in so much pain. He had to find out who had spiked her drink; he intended to sort out the problem in 24 hours before they checked out of the hotel.
