Previously: Saras's eyes widened ,"Who?"

"Aryan," she said in a low voice, she was uncertain whether Saras would believe her or his brother.
Saras took some time to absorb the single name that she said, could it be true, no it can't be, but at the same time, why would she lie to him, he could not decide who to trust.
Kumud waited for him to react but he was still numb, "Saras, I know that all of this is hard to believe but before coming to a conclusion, please have a look at the CCTV footage."
The lift's doors open and Saras followed Kumud to her suite.

Kumud played the CCTV footage and it was clearly seen that Aryan bribed one of the waiters to spike Kumud's drink. Saras slumped on the bed and rubbed his forehead, so had Aryan lied to him about everything.
"Kumud, why did you run away from your house?" He asked her.
Kumud did not expect that he would ask her that question out of the blue, even though she felt betrayed by Aryan and Kusum's plan, she didn't want to spill the truth.
"Umm..Saras, I need to go right now." Kumud stopped in her tracks when Saras held her hand,
"Kumud, please, tell me I'm too confused right now, I can't figure out what's really happening," he looked at her hoping to get an answer but she stayed quiet, "Kumud, I'm talking to you, Just tell me what the heck happened, maybe Aryan was right, you were after him only for money..." he blurt out, knowing that maybe she would reveal the truth.
Kumud froze, tears started making their way out of her eyes, Saras hated himself for making her cry but that was the only way to make her speak the truth.
"Is this what Aryan told you? That I was after him only for money, that b*s***d cheated on me with my sister!"
Saras thought that the matter was less serious but this was worse than he had expected,"Are you crazy Kumud? Why would Aryan do this, he loved you for god's sake!"
"He didn't love me, he loves Kusum." Kumud said within her sobs. Saras stood up and rubbed her back trying to calm her down. "But then why did he..." Saras was frustrated, he had never known Aryan to be this cheap, he wanted to strangle him.
He came back from his thoughts when he heard Kumud's voice," They did all this only to get the property which dad left in my name..." she sobbed more before spilling the next thing, "And Saras, I'm adopted, Kusum was jealous because Dad..." she did not utter anything more as she totally broke down.
Saras hugged her and she rested on his chest while giving in to the hug. Saras was shocked, she had been through so much and that so called brother of his was misleading him. Kumud withdrew from the hug and wiped her tears, Saras cupped her cheeks, "Kumud, I'm sorry, I got carried away but I'll finish Aryan today."
He said while clenching his fists.
"No Saras, please don't do anything stupid."
"He has hurt you and I can't stand that, I just cannot." He said while punching the wall.
"Why? Just answer me Saras." Kumud said as she stood in front of him. When Saras didn't answer, she looked at him and said,"I thought so," but she was dumbfounded by what he said.
"I love you." His voice echoed around the room.
