Smirth Ji can u really tell what is ur age well u can pm me pls.

why i ask

well coz ur flowery ninteenth century english compels me to do so .
Seems like u will be the perfect option to get gmt novel re translated.Alas ! u willmake it difficult for kids like me who r just learning english .

How do i appreciate u for ur classy english , which i need to read twice to understand.Well u remind me of those classic english fictions , i used to read in my teenage with my thick spectacles on and my oxford dictionary in my lap .

Anyways after my appreciation to ur flowery english here comes my comment regarding ur post which i read two times to understand.

So Smirth Bhai u mean to say todays Saras who talked to Kumud was the Saras decribed in epilogue by the writer and that the gmt saras was still too much in love with kumud sundary even after his marriage and so called smaaj kalyaan goals and that for him she was his inseprable part which reflected in his works and thoughts .

pls do clearfy if i understood right smirth ji ...why coz i really always wanted to know did kumud still remained same for SC in his future days or it changed with time and marriage

A weakness that can not permit a very logical and natural progression which he himself has prepared for all along. Sorry friends for this rant against an iconic legend which I do not believe in, despite my awe of his obvious genius otherwise.

Most Ironically, today Saras's very admission, avowals of his innermost feelings are sum total of a description that G.M.T. himself has written abundantly clear, profusely and pages after pages. This is what, even after that ill conceived marriage, the author can not stop himself from admitting in his epilogue chapter. He has to describe in few pages left; every moments of his hero's penitent renouncing, remorse and pain even while perusing his so called social goals. Some one out there seems to have read those last few pages. Thanks Cvs, for giving an account consistent to those pages and saving a 'hero' today, even if you buckle in later on under an irresistible force of 'source', which incidentally concurs with a greedy desire to perpetuate your shop along a forceful 'separation line.

Cvs, Today you are correct for few moments. Today, I applaud GR more than JW. He splashed the intensity. He lived a character's inner drives, turmoils, Inner aspiration and soul allegiance. Kumud Sundari, this 'Aehesas', etched on your soul, has also created imprints on another soul- His- which even he can not erase now. Respect him and his happiness. Empathise with his pain too, your sister is not an only person culpable of pain. He too is.

Smrth Bhaaii ...

So Great to see a post from you ... and What a Post ... Wowww... 👏👏

So today's SAMUD scene finally goaded you into making a post again ... ...

and are we Glad ... You Bet ... 😊

Thank you soo much for such a Wonderful post ... for a really Wonderful scene ...

Really glad that today we got to see a scene where the Writers gave what we had always known ...

but giving words to those feelings ... making a loud ... clear and Unambiguous declaration... that SAMUD are one ...and that " No One can seperate them ... Not even they themselves " ... I t was soo BEAUTIFUL to hear... to see ...to feel...

How Beautiful it was to hear the word " EHSAAS ..." again after ages ... and then the SAMUD Song ... Aahhh ... BLISS ... ❤️

and the Best part ... today it was Saras who made it clear to a very Emotionally Battered and Vulnerable Kumud ,... that " The EHSAAS " was Imprinted on their Hearts and Souls ...and nobody ... not even the two of them can do anything about it now ...

Hope this Unwavering Declaration ...this Committment ends all the fears in Kumud's mind forever ... and today's declaration gives both of them the Strength to fight all the demons they are going to face ... be it Kallika or Pramad or anybody else ...

and also Hope that today's dialogues are remembered by the CVs throughout the running of the Show ... and they should remain the CORE of this Show always ...

Must also Appreciate how Fantastic were GAUTAM and Jenny ... Absolutely Smashing ... 👏👏

The Scene was Totally OUTSTANDING ... so Intense ... Full of Love... and Pain ... that they gave us i think undoubtedly the Best SAMUD scene till date ...

Am soo Glad that today's scene is in some ways a fulfillment of your wishes too ... regarding what the Hero Saraswatichandra should have been like ...in the original Book ... 😊

and you really think that the Dialogues of Saras have been taken from the original ... The Writers have taken the trouble to read the original and have decided to use the lines from there ...

If this is True ... then i can only say that it is Good News ... Very Good NEWS ... 😊

Thank you once again , my Friend for this Lovely , Eloquent , Heartfelt post ... 👏

Shana!😆 My diction is a weakness deriving from a relative deprivation of language education during my vocational education which happens to be engineering. That should explain horrible grammar and plethora of errors...but am no longer conscious, as long as it carries 'import'...😆
Regarding Gmt's Saras in end! Well he absolutely worshipped Kumud. There is an important bust about his marriage with Kusum. Even scholars are silent on it ( as gathered from the few critiques I read) But I will share only if/when writers here follow his book marriage.😕

well if the lack of language education gives u such obsolete british aura then i must say u really missed the modern english smirth bhai.

ur ethnic choice of words and lucidity regarding them appalls me .U do remind me of my professor under whom i did my phd.he had ur ways and i really scratched my head while i took dictations from him regarding verbalization of my work.

If i reply ur posts frequently then i feel soon my father and husband will start applauding me ...why ...they will think i am really talking to big people and am in good sangat !

Anyways coming to ur reply , i must say smirth ji , u r a very smart bhai , u so smartly refain to divulge .

I have been searching english version of novel but never found and gujrati which is loaded on google, i dont understand and u refrain to divulge. Now thats called real harsh on me u can see that.

would love to hear more on Saras marriage and Kumud aftermath if u ever decide to tell .:)

Samarth bai, good to catch up with you after long long time. To hear from you that the makers have read the source and introduced lines close to original is indeed the best news I have heard about SC in ages. I am still watching this show only for Saraswathichandra, his character is woven in such beautiful layers..each time one is peeled we want to see more in depth. A hero indeed and how much I praise GR for bringing this character n screen is less. He seems to challenge his acting and tries to excel himself everytime. I am an ardent fan of him now and though I miss some episodes I will see through to its end only for him. A pleasure to read a post from you after so long. Will check out today's episode since it has tempted even you to make a post :)

The fact that you were inspired to make a post after so long, proves that the Saras Kumud scene was indeed among the best.
I specially loved this :

Respect him and his happiness. Empathise with his pain too, your sister is not an only person culpable of pain. He too is.

I think this week has been about this line essentially. Saras, who has stood beside Kumud, her wall to lean on, has been trying to show how much he is going through.

Throughout the kusum marriage , he has been hidden like a guilty secret, and has had to see pramaad being given the place of Jamai raj, which is ethically, emotionally , morally his.

I just hope Kumud has allowed this to seep into her conscious thought , and she does think of him too in the turmoil of the coming few days .

As for Saras : he has confessed to Vidya and Mai in the hospital that Saras has no vajood without Kumud, he has asked for Kumud's hand

I hope they too remember this in the coming week.

Smrth ji, Thank you so much for writing this post! It is heartening to learn about source-adaptation overlap especially for today's episode and your highly appreciative post on hallmarks of a hero😊
Your post gives me an opportunity to share about my little 'research' I've been doing on the character development of the eponymous hero of the show. Please note that I'm only faintly aware of the incidents in the book and all the forthcoming 'notes' have been made by carefully correlating personal anecdotes from friends and 'influencing' acquaintances with what's shown on screen.
In all this pedestrian story telling expedition, I am so pleasantly surprised to see the characterization of Saraswatichandra 'realistic' in terms of history as a child deprived of parental guidance throughout the entirety of his childhood. Losing a parent, especially the mother, and witnessing her commit suicide at a tender age, this character has gone through quite a devastating spell of agony even before facing the real world. The psychological effects of such an incident though may vary across individuals based on a number of variables, can be either detrimental overtly or extremely productive.

Some of the positives we have seen in Saraswatichandra are:
Feeling a tremendous sense of responsibility and accountability for everything, even situations beyond one's control.Driven to over-achievement. Asking and seeking answers to fundamental questions such as purpose and meaning of life, relationships, possessions, higher power, greater good, etc. Living a deeply felt life filled with meaningful actions and interactions, having experienced the fragility of life.Developing empathy and compassion towards the suffering of fellow humans.Independent thinking and confidence. This comes from limited parental guidance and the pressure to be 'self made'.Resilience.

Negatives of such a tragic incident include:
The sense of loss of an unconditional love that typically falls in parental domain. I don't think any other relationship is as selfless (or at least starts out that way) as a parent/child relationship.Shying away from forming emotionally intimate relationships for fear of loss.Tendency to assert control/dominate to compensate for a deeply felt loss.Exacerbation of inherent behavioral traits.

In the spirit of silver lining, only a person who's understood pain, experienced it, reflected on it, relived it in his head and integrated the pain as a part of his psyche can truly understand and 'empathize' with the 'pain' of others which Saras has efficiently fostered. That's exactly why he can 'understand' in its truest sense of the word, the pain Kumud is going through and take measures diligently to support her through her turmoil.

This is where the mindset of the lead characters come into play; Saras is the epitome of a man with a 'growth' mindset[1], the ability to 'see past adversities' and come out strongly. In one of those episodes from the glorious days of SC, he asks Kumud, "Do you see the pain in my eyes for causing you the pain of your life? Will you be able to forgive me?" to which she has no answer. That's when he replies,"I have learnt to live with pain, endure it and come out victorious too. You shall learn soon."

It is at this aspect that Kumud stagnates and he fills in for her, the dreamer-realist combination just being so pristine and magical. Although Kumud at times has faced the wrath of TRP maniacs, one must appreciate the ever changing writers for maintaining the consistency of the hero of the show. Kudos to the creative team.
