I am curious, if one wants a divorce and the other backs out after signing the papers can the judge refuse to give the divorce? I mean in the real world... Srija, Ivy... any other budding lawyers here?

Another question - Desais are still unaware of Pramad's affair with Kalika?

Nandy ji! I am not a lawyer😳

Haan, where is Ivy?!!!

This whole divorce drama is the sorest of sore logic deviants on this show. Anyway, my cousins back in India tease me for still watching this show. I have finally realized I could actually sleep extra instead of watching this jibber jabber everyday😆

OK nitpicking time: Cirrhosis patients are advised not to cough. So Prammy coughed a lot during the hearing? Does it mean he's not sick? Or the director is screwing with the viewers as usual?

Well shrija, let me put it this way

If there was a coughing Olympics, the gold was pramaads pucca.

Shrija, yahan logic kaam nahin karta.

Take this, they show full moon on karva chauth. But karwa chauth falls on 4th day after full moon day.

Waise today's 'stage-managed' court case takes the cake.

Well i am not a lawyer, just know a bit from hearsay
So, if the divorce is by mutual consent, no allegations of any misdemeanor

Then they are advised to undergo a trail separation - a sort of cooling off , then the divorce is final

If one party wants a divorce and the other doesn't, then counseling is advised till some consensus is reached

This is if there are no allegations

If it's a case of harassment and abuse, divorce is granted and criminal proceeding may be initiated

As for this judge sahiba denying divorce because of coughing and repenting - it's senseless

Every criminal I am sure repents and pleads for mercy, as an exit option, but a court of law goes by evidence and not emotion

If her life has been endangered by him, she must be protected, his coughing doesn't make him less of a threat

How can she be asked to go back to him? Or at least stay tied to him

Ema will cut no ice with judge aunty

I mean if attempt to murder is forgiven by coughing, a sneeze and a sorry will be punishment enough for ema.
