I particularly enjoyed reading the various viewpoints on CB today. I sort of zeroed in on what was bothering me about the episode yesterday. The market scene was bad. But I think I also felt somewhat disturbed, about Saras being shown removing the daag (with the lamp as an analogy) ! Again and then again !

There is no daag, !! so it kind of irked me !!
The SAMUD scenes, interactions this week have been absolutely awesome. ! I am glad they are exploring other avenues for Kusum, and not have her mope over Saras.

I think todays episode will be good.

It's human tendency to blame the self especially after having undergone trauma at the level of K. Could haves and should haves can pain the very essence of your existence. At this stage, she needs to go see a shrink. But it's an Indian show where going to a psychiatrist is akin to going to a mental asylum. So that's ruled out.

The way they showed the Desais sucking up to the riffraff, Kumud considering her current state of affairs as a stain, well, it doesn't go well in this time and age when an empowered woman like Kumud rues her plight in this way. But we know the writers want to have a go ONLY at K's characterization whenever they get a chance.

I have to clarify on what I'd said in my previous post. OK this is quite a controversial topic, still forging ahead. Saras stepping in to cover up the social stigma raises an important question. Does a woman need a husband to 'protect' her from earning a bad name? Is that really what SP is showing? Now I'm having second thoughts. I hope, they clear it off in tomorrow's episode.

It is precisely this train of thought. as I pieced together what they were trying to show, that irked me no end. If I didnt love Saras and Kumud so much, and didnt love this love story so much, I would have switched the tv off. Seriously.

I hope todays episode is good. I hope everything falls in place. I hope Saras-Kumud love wins over everything else.
