I totally completely understand Kumud's breakdown. She's identified herself as the empress of all maladies afflicting her family and this is how trauma patients behave when the going gets tough. I'm happy SP got that right. Fluke or no. The very reason she had put up with Pramaad was for her family, to not to hurt them in anyway, and now that one hasty decision has changed the course of her life haphazardly. Now had she gone to the marketplace, would she have given those blithering fools a dose of their own medicine? Yes, definitely! But the point is, this is the breaking point for the suppressed, bottled up emotions to burst out like a geyser hot spring. Did we ever see her give in to her emotions while at BD's? Thank god they didn't show her put up a brave face in all this turmoil because that would have been unreal to put it mildly. She's scared because of Pramad. Divorcing him hasn't solved her problems at all; hence tension takes over. It all falls in place, at least for me.

As far as Saras, when he sees the love of his life crying her heart out, helpless and desolate blaming herself for all the problems when he himself was the chief reason to influence her decision, being Saras, that was just the right moment to "take the plunge", borrowing Shanti ji's words. Love is the primary reason for him to stay; for her to stop him from leaving. There's no question about that whatsoever..The way he asks for her hand, putting forward the same thing he'd said eons ago, that Kumud is his zimmedari (how I love this word!), I now hope Kumud has the mind to accept him as her husband.

Desais' behavior at the market place, I think it's best to stay mute in such circumstances. You don't want to argue with idiots who when they open their mouths, "can lower the IQ of the whole town." This was also expected of them given their take on agni pariksha to prove the sanctity of a woman. Any life form would die a painful death in the inferno, holy or no. How insecure can people be to get instant gratification by constantly playing with people's emotions?!

The billion frikkin' dollar question is, what's Kumud going to say? I'm...scared, given her track record!

I particularly enjoyed reading the various viewpoints on CB today. I sort of zeroed in on what was bothering me about the episode yesterday. The market scene was bad. But I think I also felt somewhat disturbed, about Saras being shown removing the daag (with the lamp as an analogy) ! Again and then again !

There is no daag, !! so it kind of irked me !!
The SAMUD scenes, interactions this week have been absolutely awesome. ! I am glad they are exploring other avenues for Kusum, and not have her mope over Saras.

I think todays episode will be good.
