Their love started from pain, there was some romance in between but ultimately the scene today fully justified their relationship. I did not expect any awkwardness, not right now. Kumud is going to be accused of spending a night with another man tomorrow. Could the writers really put an ounce of romance in the scene today? It wouldn't help the cause tomorrow.

The only thing which let down todays episode was the editing especially in the first 5 minutes. Saras suddenly got shot, he fell unconscious at night but then suddenly both were shown running away from Pramad in broad daylight! That really spoilt things for me.

Actors did a fab job especially Jenny!

True Reemz, not romance, but dard, that's what I wanted the CVs to linger on, the Hadd and Haq of Ivy to come back, both in their hadd yet, the haq of Kumud to tend to Saras and ease the pain that she And her mistrust have caused.

The CVs did attempt to show that also, Saras and Kumud are not even thinking romance, and can't be, but some of the boundaries that Kumud had Saras had built between them due to maryada, did break down due to his pain, so a softer approach with a more tender feel to the episode was required.

The direction still kept the thriller pace approach. The hut scene could have been given a more mellow treatment.

The less said about the chase the better. Comedy circus

Awkward epi...

Wasted half an hour actually seeing the epi...😭

As people have mentioned...the chase sequence timelines were all screwed up, as well as, the chase itself..

The current CV team seems to have a huge filmi hangover...starting from typical pooja scenes, kalika scene, filmi songs...then this fetish intensifying through the coal walking coupled with a filmy song in a dargah (lift from Rockstar!!), suhaag raat room, haveli nilaami...and still further intensifying through Om Shanti Om direct lift, followed by dishum dishum, filmi chase and the absolutely required taking bullet out with a knife thingie...

Add to this the absolutely shoddy direction in the last epi...
- Let's start with Saras...Oohhh...he's shot...but where?..in the frikking upper arm!!!...it's not as if he's dying or going to die anytime soon...unless the arm becomes gangerenous but which will take 5 - 6 days to develop...yet he's shown stumbling and falling all over the place becoming unconscious and all that melodrama...Its the upper arm!!

- You could say maybe because he's bleeding...again its the upper arm!!!...and even then the blood flowing out is barely a trickle!

- Then the absolute pits was when Saras, Kumud & Pramad were in the face-off...I could see the extra villager cast actually peeping out behind some bushes when this face-off was going on!!...

- Oh God!...then all the dialogue-baazi...Pramad ...when you always shoot first and talk later...

- There is a 3 - 4 minute dialogue-baazi between him and Kumud...why?...

- Also if you see the scene, you will notice that Kumud leisurely takes the sickle and walks in front of Pramad...then gives some filmy dialogue...then again leisurely moves forward and points the sickle at Pramad's throat...Where is the urgency?...If at all you wanted to go the filmi dialogue route,,,please make Kumud plant the sickle at Pramad's throat and then go filmi...Why do you want to break it up in 2 parts?

- Pramad wants to kill them both...yet both he & kumud engage in an almost debate ...

- Most funny scene when I was ROFL...in the ensuing 'friendly' debate between Pramad & Kumud, Pramad's hand with the gun is now by his side...And then the village women come and point their respective sickles at Pramad's throat (again a John Woo trademark scene copied!)...one of them says "Gun neeche karo" or some such...Pramad must be going "W*F? Neeche Hi to Hain"...

- Then why does the camera have to repeatedly pan poor GR's face every 5 seconds just to emphasise that he is in some life-threatening pain?...From a bullet wound to his upper arm!!...After 5 - 6 times, even poor GR lost his expressions...by the time the epi ended his expressions looked less pain from wound and more from a possible bowel movement problem...repeated ad nauseum!...This is a first...first time GR lost his grip on expressions...

- Lastly the whole taking bullet out with knife thing...harkens back to the shoddy movies of the 80's... all that's remaining now is Gautam feeling cold and Kumud providing him some warmth through body heat!

What a bombed out landscape this epi was...all thanks to a lazy CV team..

...which just proves my perceptions regarding the last Fri epi ...the CVs had nothing to do with the last Fri epi...

...nothing has changed in the shoddiness quotient...The last Fri epi was just a stastical fluke governed by the Bell Curve of the law of averages...a stastical outlier which has to turn up once in a while in the middle of a series of average / below average epis which get churned out...

I so wished to be wrong on the above and so decided to see yesterday's wreck of an epi...

But then we propose and the lazy CVs dispose!

Agree on most points. The chase, Kumud removing the bullet with knife(that was lying on a jute sac. no fear of infection. the timing and what not). But differ on Saras showing pain. Atleast it was on the realistic side. He did have a face-off with fire, carried Kumud and was shot. I would have not liked at all if they showed him running with blood oozing(it was) and acting as if nothing happened. Maybe he has a low pain threshold :-)))
Friday's episode was definitely a pleasant fluke.

Thank you for Jungle Bytes, Arshi ji 🤗

Between yours and Hgg bhai's post, I feel decidedly blessed that I'm not watching SC whole of this week. Friday was the 'zenith'... A shadow of former glory that is all they can aspire to. Now, they will either stretch this like a rubber band, or judging by the crammed epi's... Be preparing for the call of the executioners axe. Frankly, the latter is hands down more preferable.

Btw, just a heads-up... If credits are being shuffled and the key crew (Director, D.O.P, Production Designer) is being replaced with regularity, then this would indicate that the production is treading water and they have no plans for a long-term run. That is why they are bringing freelancers with specific cut-off dates. That is why the look, feel, mood, genre of the show is swinging so ludicrously from one extreme spectrum to the other.

Edit: Is Arshad Khan still directing, friends?

Re the episode super let down...it was abrupt..that silly chase had no impact.it was high schoolish
About romantic scenes...c'mon guys the need of the hour was to take out his bullet how cud they be romantic. But it was a scene lifted from the 70s. Movis..the whole episode felt like that. BAdly directed. It shud have all been shot at night wud have better impact. Where was Sara's car when. Needed...n did. Ms Kalika did a Houdini...

gr z hosting nt participating
so its quite easy fr him..cz the shoot of reality shw takes place in 1 day of a wk... Nd many actors manage to do anchoring nd soap actng at a tym.. Even jen has done anchoring in znd1 while acting in serial...
So its nt big deal..cz gr z superactive he'l manage it smoothely

Mini rant, hope you don't mind Arshiji😳

Hey Kumud, remember what they said about boogeyman when you were young? "You dare not mess with it!" Well, the same applies for gun-shot wounds. If you really care about the person, don't ever think of engaging in such dramatics if you don't have adequate knowledge of what you're supposed to do. Lady, don't blindly assure him, rather take him to the frikkin' hospital!
Who in their right mind would think of sojourning at a tumbledown, non sterile gutter-hole of a hut when your man (or anyone for that matter if you have a little empathy) is potentially bleeding to death?! Why not seek immediate medical help? Beats me!
I can't decide who outwits who in terms of their superpowers: Saras for braving the bullet removal without the aid of anesthesia or Kumud for successfully locating the bullet in the first place and removing it using a penknife(!) with amazing dexterity.

What kind of a village is this where a mad criminal at large gets away with a mere warning whereas someone who's been alleged to have killed a cow earns the wrath of the villagers?! 😕

Terrible episode!

Seriously! What is the 911 equivalent in India? Is it even efficient in remote villages?
