Aneet and Ahaan on the cover of THR!!
Ijja-jjat hai
Ivy, I could barely sit through yesterday's episode despite Mr. dazzling smile and rippling muscles in tight shirt😆 I have not watched tuesday's yet and not sure if I want to subject myself to more mahanta and double standards and wailing.
I am not sure when Arshad started directing. My observations of him - he is creative, esp good with romantic scenes, young, easy going and a bit shy. I get the feeling he can be/is bossed around by senior (not necessarily in age) artistes. My worry is artistes on Arshad's sets get away with things they wouldnt dare attempt with a senior, experienced, stricter director. Quality of work is affected due to some of these factors.
The artistes professionalism, integrity, passion, honesty, commitment and dedication to work would really weigh in heavily with AK 'incharge' on the performance. IMHO.
Back to snoring now.😳

Thanks for commenting, Nandy... 🤗I agree, SP is the biggest culprit here, but they don't sit in when the director yells, roll camera... I'm more concerned with what happens in the microcosm of the set. Why the director does not have a handle on execution... MG always failed, but yesterday AK took the cake, because Jennifer was on a completely different plane altogether. Which was sad and shocking because apart from this obvious epic fumble, AK's direction was undoutedly superior... It's almost as though a cold war happened between lead actress and director and no one could be bothered. That surprises me 😕I will look forward to the rest of your feedback, eagerly =)Edit: I can agree about disillusionment, but Nandy, what about integrity as an artist? They all are in the same boat, the least one can do is be part of a team. At performance level, this is sabotage

@Bold, That doesnt surprise me...at all...😆 If you can trifle with the haathi, then what's a little frisky pony to you? Meet HH Prima Donna...😛 Plus MG's standards or the lack of them has probably led to a burgeoning hubris in the less professional, as to what they can get away with! Now Ivy, thanks for not waiting till Tuesday before letting off steam, am sure you feel the better for it, as well!...😉And thanks for all the food for thought! (Drat! Now where did I keep those roses??👏 )Would watch henceforth with SRS-View in place... 😊I think your posts provide the technical framework for a lot of the dissatisfaction one feels instinctively after watching recent episodes... and, even my ignorant self could make out that SS was doing a great job, holding her own, most notably against "The" GR in that candle scene!Unfortunately (🥱?!) I had already deleted Tuesday's recording before I read your post because of the sheer hopelessness I felt after watching! To put things in perspective, my Recorder has an almost complete collection of SC starting from the first week, except for a handful that I deleted as a form of personal protest...😆 So I can with a few flicks of the magic wand (aka TV remote) watch stuff from the Golden Age of SC to drown my sorrows in...😳 Am sure I shall enjoy the craft even more now with my SRS-spectacles on... Thank you, dear Ivy!

@ Ivy, Have posted link for you in GR IV thread, listen for time-pass when out of your doodling sessions...😉 I think SC has been not only a stepping stone but also a baptism by Fire for the leading man, more power to him, I love his attitude even more than his looks!
@Ivyji thanks for the wonderful analysis. As a person who is not so aware of technicality side this was really an interesting read. I am actually shocked at Kumud's character. Leaving everything apart she is a black mark for a women in this society. Sorry but I can't just tolerate her character anymore. This is not bravery or anything, this is absurdity at its heights, stupidity at its best. Pramad openly saying Kalika left him and she is hurt that Pramad is unhappy. And after what happened yesterday does she have any self respect left that she comes back to this house because her dad is financially unstable. I don't agree Arshi, kya himmat...what is the use of this himmat when you are actually standing up for something so absurd and still like a fool continue to do the same. She may have retaliated but anyone would have done this atleast at that moment but still continuing to face this and thinking of reforming him is foolishness. I don't see any nayi soch in her character.
And BD stands quietly while Saras defends Kumud and stops Pramad. Kya family hai. Now I find only Saras character a bit tolerable here. Atleast he is doing this to help Kumud and he has tried to make her leave. Sorry for the rant.

I'm so glad you found it interesting, my dear friend. Thank you 😳Bold: Standin-frickin-ovation 👏 👏 I know Arshi ji is only considering one epi at a time, and that is the best way, if one has to continue watching SC, but looking at what will come after Kumud walks out, just makes the 'himmat' feel hollow. Aaj awaaz uthaayi just because she was pushed beyond the extreme, but kal phir aa jaye gi... Kachre mein heere taraashneThe worst part is how 'Nayi Soch' or even 'Sahi Soch' is being used as a gimmick to appease... 🤢
I agee Ivy, Arshi is considering one epi at a time and actually that is the best way to see Sc nowadays. Don't think about the past nor the future, just live in the present. But for me the thought that after yesterday's brutality towards Kumud, if she is coming back to him gives me the creeps. I prefer Kalika here who atleast walked out rather than succumb to something against her wishes. However hard I try I just can't digest the fact that a woman would tolerate such brutality to save her marriage. If her parents are not supportive or warned her not to come back, this would have been atleast acceptable that she doesn't have any other place to go, atleast I could have sympathised with her plight but this...
