Ivy ji, watched yesterday's episode till the first commercial break only phor you. I thought I was watching comedy circus on Sony tv. SD fainting, waiting for someone to see her fall and hold her😆
Why would Saras not reveal to Kumud that Kalika was looting Pramad, about her bank account? Why would SD not explain to Pramad she was sending food for him through Kalika, Kalika was not giving him her share of food. OK, last one I understand. But the rest was😆

Ivy ji - you are right there...I am merely a viewer and that too a gullible one. For years, I didn't even realise there were such things as body doubles, scenes being shot separately etc.

So I will move on from that swiftly as my knowledge on direction fails me miserably. I was treading in the deep end there but I don't know its cos I feel these guys work sooo hard, day and night just to entertain us and why would they not do their job with sincerity..but I agree more than the actor, the directors are to blame for not guiding correctly.

Kumud's whole character is faltered. We all know since marriage we have seen a different Kumud but all the while it has made me think that why in a fictional show is consistency so important? I am no longer the same person that I was 10 years ago. I have changed and likewise many people do.

Yes this isn't a matter of a decade or so but incidents that occur in your life do change you. I am not defending Kumud's stance on her being right and Kalika being wrong. Her hiding her ex bf is utterly wrong and will bring her down but I guess she is playing along to what Saras has started..the whole Naveen faade and now its way too late in the day because now revealing the truth can only mean dooms day is here!

Ofcourse doesn't mean you have to continue lying but like the old saying goes jis jooth se kisi ka bhala hota hai, woh jooth jooth nahi hota' so basically, Naveen being there is a blessing in disguise for all.

For removing Kalika who was robbing the BD house in sheer day light.

For protecting Kumud who would've been target of more domestic violence

For showing Pramad that he isn't above everyone and everything

I know my take differs from everyone here in CB but I don't yday...I empathised with Kumud.

I agree with your points and disagree too. I am not looking for finesse here... SRS is nothing glamorous or complex if the ladies from Saath Nibhana Saathiya can pull it off with elan... Not asking for Jennifer's best... I don't expect anyone's best in this show, actually now. But, if others are making an effort so could you... You give people wrong cues, you don't follow cues... It reflects badly on everyone involved in the sequence. With the time crunch associated in tv, the burden falls on individual artists too to be true to whatever they are putting out. That is if they take pride in their work and the show.

Even 'barely passes muster' is good enough for me, these days. But, the episode in question was even below that. The whole twenty-plus minutes was rendered off-kilter.

Whatever we are seeing is unfortunately indicative of lack of commitment, pride and integrity on the part of those in question. And as you say, since they're getting big bucks, why should they worry? Indeed, but from a directors pov, I would have never yelled 'Cut and Print' on that episode... Even if I be a director rushed off my feet. Not for a prime-time show, popular in international territories as well.

and I cant deny that while I am giving Kumud here a big benefit of doubt as I am finally relieved at the turning point of her standing up to Pramaad (despite the fact that half of what Pramad said was true!!)..her walking out and bidding adieu to the Dharamadhikaaris..all that gave a lot of sukoon to the heart..as I was sooo tired of the 4 walls of BD mansion..I waned out and out I got!

I am however completely blocking out the time when I will want to kick Kumud for going back there. For now I will pine onto a false hope that this won't happen...while I know I am kidding myself..I feel I just want to enjoy this moment of oblivion!

I am not adept enough to critique on the intricacies of direction nor do I think I can achieve your level of expertise in the art of direction hence you can fairly say that my points have been given as a viewer, a relatively new one at that in watching Indian TV shows.[Used to watch Shanti (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanti_(TV_series) with my granny when I used to visit India during holidays as a youngster😛]

I understand how a person who actually knows the art feels about how the show's sitting pretty at the top in spite of its dismal piece of direction and writing. Unfair world, huh?

Let me try and watch today's episode with the "SRS mindset". Now signing off.. 😊😊
