Isn't it so ironical that one one hand young Indians( celebs incld) are venting their anger on social networking sites about situation of women in India and on other we get to see tracks like
these where the dutiful bahu is ready to :
1. Never question her in-laws as to why she and her family were not told about their creepo son
2. Ask When did marriage involve reforming a psycho and wayward man?
3. Is ready to slap saras so quickly but has trembles and begs her husband to understand even when she is right and he is wrong
4. Has not raised her voice against pramad having affair with a maid?
5.Despite all the 4 points about, the in-laws have the right to question their bahu in the middle of the night and have the audacity to simply beg for accepting their son again?😡😡
There was a article some months back in NY-Times regarding overseas television shows and indian serials got mocked for showing 19th century traditions in 21st century.
The moment the tv heroine becomes a "bechaari" bahu and hero a remorseful sacrificing man...i lose interest in the show.
I hope the new production keeps the story different from what we seen so many times already.
