As for Kumud's reaction - well one thing has been bothering me a lot, I never kind of brought it out, but maybe now we can discuss it.

In the pagphera scene, when Kumud confides in dukhba, her words were - main waise hi aayi hoon jaisi gayi thi - referring to non consummation of marriage.

A very odd choice of words for a woman who loved another man, instead of describing the problem as a husband who was forced to marry her and was alcoholic and abusive, she described it as a husband who was not ready to accept her and consummate the marriage, though she was ready and willing.

Those days we lived in hope of Samud reunion, so I kept silent about it, can I request you all to see the convo again, and see if I misunderstood it?
