and I think they badly are using SC to show this but they have gone around it completey the wrong way. Their thoughts are:

The sad thing however is that they have not realised that this is already expected. Even in previous times, many women have fought for their rights as a wife instead of sitting there idle and accepting it as their destiny but the difference in aaj ki ladki is that she will fight against the social norms...so instead of 'ooh let me change my pati' she would be realistic and have the courage to walk out of a shambles marriage.

Asides this, also be realistic about her feelings. Only because she is married, her love for her true love has suddenly died. Realistically, they wouldve shown that women too like men can have feelings for other people...sometimes people get married and then they fall out of love...they couldve handled this really respectfully and how for the right reasons kumud does walk out of this relationship because she loves someone else.

Very good point, Kat. Especially with all the rise in women-related atrocities in India, they will have people demanding for their heads...That is why I'm thinking, because there is no way they can justify it as a 'mutual consent' thing when Pramad is drunk and enraged at Kumud, so maybe it will not happen. Maybe Saras will save the day. I know it is too much to hope that SP would go the further mile by sending a positive social message with this track whereby Pramad is made an example of. Because it will not be a "suhaag raat" when he has accused Kumud of being characterless in front of all... The Kumudsundari we know will not stand for this. She will not submit at any cost..

1) but was it related to consummation or more generic?...as in I am the same kumud now as the one who left after she had absorbed the shock ...i.e. a clear headed, strong types and not an emotionally shattered one...

2) If related to consummation...she could have meant same state post marriage..so just her status ...not really clarifying if she was ready or not..

5) Then Kalika will throw more thalis on the ground...she will try all tricks to delay / cancel the trip

6) Lastly in desperation, she will say she is pregnant with Pramad's child! ...Major shocker and emotional scene this...

7) Then groupie will save the show...he will say the kid's hers... Us raat ko..even he was drunk because he was giving Pramad company...He wanted to go to kusum's room coz he was / in a relationship ...but ended up in kalika's room...

8) AND even he was too drunk to remember who he did it with...kusum did not mention it coz you know she's a bade ghar ki ladki...so she doesn't speak about all such dirty wirty thingies...but now he's suddenly remembered...

9) Then BD sends both his sons on their honeymoons with their 'spouses'

10) Now kalika gets a hriday parivartan...and says a bird in hand is worth in bush...groupie doesn't mind it at all...he's sort of used to being used anyway...

11) And that leaves kusum stuck alone...so she now becomes the new scheming vamp...determined to break up saras - kalika...

And we go again...
