Yesterday just after the epi...a cousin whom I had 'sold' the show called and who saw it on & off...he was like ...so how's your saraswatichandra going?...just saw today's epi...its become even more exciting after SLB left...and you must be so happy types...😈

Then he gave me some names to check out too...Diya Aur Balti something & told me ...hey let me disconnect...don't want you to miss Meri Bhabhi which is right after SC...Grrr...😡

Ivy, if cvs are taking the marital rape road, it's sick, becos this channel does not have the sensitivity or maturity to handle these things.

That is the real paap!

So I hope it does not happen

Whatever sp does is for TRP only, thali patakana and all that is fine, this requires a lot of sensitive handling, and will be extremely socially irresponsible to show that and still go Mera pati, Mera Kanha

Question Arshi,

Obviously if Kumud backs off in disgust and fear and he forces her it will... But what if Kumud submits to a drunk and enraged Pramad will it still count as MR?

Do you think Saras will intervene and save? Remember he has broken the kasam now... 😕

Beautiful concept

Ok Arshi ki class -

Saath nibhana sathiya, Meri bhabhi etc - born bad, total saas bahu, and no claims to be anything else

Diya aur bati - great concept - an ambitious girl wanting to become an IPS officer, gets married to a halwai, but with his support still pursues her dream and makes it - achieves badness - all kitchen politics, saas bahu now

Saraswatichandra- had badness thrust upon it when SLB decided to pull out etc etc

That's the long and short of all sp shows

If Kumud submits why ? - out of fear for her life - then yes, out of love? - can we even use this word here? Out of duty as wife? - still yes

So, yes it will MR, unless there is love and respect and right intent, willingness from both sides, it's rape.

I am sure Saras will save her and cvs will not go down this road, but it is still disturbing

You're right Arshi, it is disturbing as hell, and SP will show a craven disregard for every frickin' sensibility if they go through with this... 😡 Even if they don't and Saras saves... If will scar Kumud irreparably But you take into context that what all has happened, again as per spoilers, jaisa mahaul create hua hai, with accusations and fights and revelations, after that love willingness and compassion don't even factor in the equation. Because Pramad will have shamed her as a "characterless woman" in front of all. So if it happens, from whatever angle, it will be marital rape. Right? I want Kumud to say "No"... That will be the only way the characters bachi kuchi self-integrity would be intact.

Edit: Right intent bhi nahi hai... Pramad will have insulted Kumud, fought with his father and Alak, and gotten bashed by Saras before... So "payback" will be on his mind. I fear we're in for something revolting and demeaning

In the current environment and recent incidence if SP takes this route sach mein I will stop watching SP because on moral grounds this will be so wrong. Here there are people doing morchaas on rape and on the other hand the channel just to make money is showing the sheer brutality of it.

Whats left is for Saras to be decorating their suhaag raat bed!

Ivy - the rate Kumud is going I wont be surprised that if they were to show such a thing she would succumb. She was ready to succumb in that epi where he was getting close to her on the bed.

As far as Kumud is concerned it wont be wrong because he is HER pati and his drinking problem isnt self inflicted so it doesnt matter and therefore its forgiven.

I have long forgotten that Kumud is portrayed as an educated girl. I think she took a degree in kitchen and bedroom politics!!

Yes, Kumud saying no, not just to him, but to all, his and her family too is what is needed.

Keeping quite and hiding mahanta is very dangerous for a society like India, Ivy.

They are pressurized to stay on in bad marriages in the name of Sanskar and maryada and izzat

A responsible media would educate them to talk about, get help, make the family aware and do not let the abusers get away with it

So to portray him as a poor misguided boy and Kumud as the heroine for hiding the abuse - very incorrect message
