Really flawed characters

When the show began the most attractive part for me was the strength of each character, the insolent egoistic kumud, idealist Saras and even the supporting characters like Vidyachatur , n rest of the Kumud's family. With time I feel all the characters have been butchered in someway or the other, Saras the calm, restraint and reserved all of a sudde changed into a gullible lover boy fawning over kumud! yes people do change in love but it doesn't completely alter their personality! That was the first shocker, what Saras is doing now is more in his character, after what he discovered sure he was in no mood to marry but it could have been postponed instead of cancelling it. A guy who considers himself unworthy of giving love n affection n is so full of self loathing cannot keep a woman happy so I can still understand his feelings. Kumud's reaction is weird, so is the whole family's attitude! I am strongly against rebound relationships n this is even more pathetic! Which sane person marries in a rage, even for an egoistic person this is one huge step. The family is all about honour, izzat, is this the way to restore it?? Kumud's mom despite knowing everything keeps mum, dugba's brain is dormant!Highly disappointing!

It's not disappointing it's realistic! It would be an unrealistic and silly show if everyone had ideal personalities and traits. The show is about the mistakes people make and dire consequences that happen because of it. I am loving the show and look forward to even more developments in the new and old characters.

Nobody's perfect...neither me nor you urself...
N such changes r so common in real life..
At least Saras changes from silent to a lover boy
People in serial turn from negative to positive or vice versa as well...

No one's expecting idealism, both the characters were complex but the least we can hope they stay in character, not a single person looks sane in the whole mess!

I am not talking about perfection, rage after rejection is expected but such drastic step in the name of honour of the family is foolish, I don't follow many serials so cannot speak for it!

If I would have been rejected I would never marry another person so soon, nor is my family such a crackpot, we all know people take time to recover! Who can marry in this frame of mind

I agree with you to an extent - but I think that the hasty marriage could only be expected from the Desai family. Yes ruining your daughter's life isn't a good way to restore your izzat, but imagine if Kumud hadn't married Pramad. There would have been gossip, Kumud would have been defamed, people would talk. On top of that, the Desai family had already gone through a great deal of beizzati when the same had happened to Dugba years ago. VC didn't know that Pramad would turn out to be the abusive drunk that he is. I know it's not a very good justification because at the end of the day what they did wasn't right..but it was what you would expect from them.

i think saras character is consistent in this serial
first he was like a saint only praying to God till kumud came alnone he became lost in love forgetting all his duties. Suddenly LNV woke him to reality and he came back to his real character. Its like he came from dreamland to real life again. That is more true to real life.
But all other characters are changing colors faster than a blink. LNV loved saras in ratnagiri hates him in dubai is it place issue
Aprat from saras only Guman is consistent

good point. you would not expect more from that family, from whatever angle you view it at he end of the day, they all acted foolishly running blindfoldly head on into danger.
