Leena, I know where you're coming from...
First, I have sad this before in other posts where people were bashing up Saras:
The man who came to see Kumud on Karva Chauth night was not the same person that spoke to her on that phone call!
Yet, she didnt seem to notice. It was (almost) like she spoke to an impostor and took his word that Saras wanted her to forget him! Unforgivable. Did she ever love him at all if she couldnt figure out the guy was s.u.f.f.e.r.i.n.g?
Second, now come over to Kumud's side, she is a bride waiting for the love of her life to come and take her away and she gets this phone call. She panics because somewhere at the back of her mind, she's stored away the first impression she had of him as a person who "runs away"...See the power of first impressions! 😭In her moment of panic, she fears the worst and thinks he's gone back to being the old Saras and ratted on her. Thus she decides to have nothing more to do with him. Period!
Now why the new, reformed version of Saras who loves her till the ends of the world doesnt have as strong a hold on her mind, I dont know. Maybe he was only in her heart and not in her mind? So her mind was in control at the critical point after getting that lightning strike of a phone call, and she tries to behave logically giving least pain to the loved ones who are still with her, viz., her family!!
As for cheating Pramad, who is he to her? If kismet has dealt such a blow to her, wht should she bother about the niceties? What sort of guy in this day and age agrees to marry a girl he's never set eyes on, at the drop of a hat anyway? It does not look to me like he has any great stakes in the marriage at all, this Pramad guy. Couldnt care too hoots about what he's marrying, definitely cant complain later!! No tears for *him*, only for Saras and Kumud!
And always more for Saras than Kumud, for reasons too complicated to explain!😃
