@Idiotviewer, no issues with Kumud being portayed as being strong!
But the way she is being portayed is not convincing at all...there is no feminity to her character, despite the gorgeous, see-through clothes that she wears...there is no compassion in her character, no sensitivity...no grace.
Kumud is shown half the time in anger...bitter to the point of being rude...and sometimes downright wicked (her burning things related to Saras were just too much...)
Where is the love in her? Where is the tenderness? Where is the poignancy?
I personally struggle to emphathize with a woman who as you put it, is too strong for her own good.
Such a character would have made a perfect Erin Brochovich for Indian Television, but she doesn't do as the object of a man's worship in a love story like Saraswati Chandra!
I am not saying that she should have gone and committed suicide like Saraswati did (I will rant on this woman's character sometime later...😆)...but she should have shown some sort of grief for what had happened to Saras and her love!
It was all about, 'Me...My Family...My honor...My family's honor...'
I think the only moment I really felt for Kumud was when she told Saras that she was ready to wait for him and that she did not mind postponing the wedding...I think it was the only time, she sounded like she was truly in love with this guy and was ready to wait for him, no matter what!
