@ arshi,
Sorry, Sunadrgiri would fall in 'original alert'...suffice wud be to say...GMT had not kept them unmarried after all. They were virtually married there- literally and metaphysically. Even PM'U'...u for union...I think source inspiration for SLB's PMS! But let me stop.

Thanks smrth, wow, pretty bold for those days isn't it?

Today I am actually glad that I can't read the original, it must be so painful to see how badly it's being butchered!

Wanted to tell u...such an apt selection!😆
But there's a plus side...we won't be feeling so beholden that we can not escape as i was fearing. In fact, that other day theory is coming true. Long winding soaps invariably offer us escape roads eventually...That brings to another wish, why would they not make serials with predefined nos of episodes. Entire script fine tuned and well laid out from the outset. End product may turn out so well presented...

Actually No. For author himself managed that in its denouement.

True very apt hotdogg, and while you quoted Brando, I will quote Geoff Boycott, "even my mum could have done it better".

We would have excellent quality, a story that ends when it has run its course, enough episodes canned and enough time given to shoot each episode in off season, I am all for it! This will also avoid actor burnout.

completely agree with u smrth on the last part..i don't know if u have seen any old pakistani plays..i have yet to come across an indian play that can match the class and story of those plays.. the very reason being they were written before the play started and not on the spot, the number of episodes were predefined..there was one indian play that i found very close to those old pakistani plays and that was kismat, which also had predefined episodes and was produced by yash raj banner..in short quality always wins over quantity..i did rather have a short meaningful serial rather than a long filled with logic ki vaat scenes and inconsistency!

There is no rush to end the show or anything like that so people should stop making such claims.

The portion we have seen from the beginning till now has been an extra chunk anyway and most of it was not part of the original novel or movie. Instead of thinking negatively I think we should look forward to the next big track which forms the crux of the story. This is the phase I've been most excited about.

Regarding the lack of intimate chemistry, I agree there was more before but there was also more tension between the two leads and even that should make a return soon :)

Need not be negative all the time.

Not making any claims Reemz about ending the show, just talking about our own disenchantment with it.

With time, there's lesser and lesser to excite me in each episode, so it seems like its time to stop watching it.

We are just discussing it from a personal perspective dear, expectations that we had are somehow not being fulfilled and we are just sharing this disappointment, Reemz

Dhoop kinare and ankahi are two which stand out most Mandy, tight script, excellent story acting direction, and once the main track ended, the play ended.
