Tonight's episode, dashed the collective expectations, I think, of everyone on this forum, not only in terms of what was shown or not, but also in terms of Kumud's volte-face. Bechaara Saras!

If this causes the rift, well at least it's not saas-related. In fact we seem to be moving from straightening out Saras' flaws to tackling Kumud's problems now... If it descends to the pregnancy issue that wd be pretty mundane. I hope it is not that, but after today, I shall not be hazarding any guesses...😆 Tonight has left me choosing between crazy laughter and complete confusion. 😒

I have no idea where this is going, I hope somebody knows..., MAYBE , err... SLB..?...🤣

Happychappyji, glad I was not the only one laughing.

Where was Guman, wasnt she supposed to witness the deed? If she did, is she going to use that knowledge to blackmail Kumud or the Desais to get her married off in a hurry, after the rift between Samud? 🤢

Yup, arent we all wondering where this is going? What is their idea of penance?

Arshiji - aapke charan kahan hai??? What a beautiful post. You have justified the episode really well. I would not rate it as high you did today.

I am not judging the morality of the act but I did think Kumud was being way too harsh on Saras. She is not blaming Saras though, she blames herself for loosing control. Scares me to think what penance they are talking about..

I understand that PMS is a taboo esp in rural settings and with her kind of upbringing and set of values. Completion of rituals, Gandharva vivah style without witnesses and her family giving her away is not sanction enough for Kumud to do the deed. So it is a sin for her. I just wish I had not heard her call it a sin though. I felt so bad for Saras.Uff, these raging haarrmonesss 😆

I wonder if there was there pressure from SP who likes to play it safe and pride themselves on their shows promoting values and morals to make some changes, to tone it down after the media went crazy with reports of bold scenes!! If PMS was such an issue, don't approve the script from PH.

I also wonder if this is it or are they going to show some scenes in flashbacks? If this is it, I hope the various writers of the articles, interviewers who ceaselessly hyped the PMS watched the 'bold and steamy' scene today. 🤣 Honestly, I was not expecting much but this was even less than I was expecting. It did not even come across very sensual IMHO.

I did not like the pati parmeshwar ka charan washing either. Dear Lord.

The Desais seem to forget completely that Guman will be Kumud's mother-in-law. They think she will be happy with Saras, in LN's house!!

Dukhba pay attention to your daughter.

Bechara Gautam really sounded and looked unwell. Loved the way he paused before he said '''.. mistake of coming close to you. He is deeply hurt by her attitude.

Pregnancy being the possibility of marriage would be so cliched- I sincerely hope not, just the social stigma of PMS info getting out in public is cause enough for a rushed marriage to Pramad.

Arshiji, aapka post toh bahut popular ho gaya hai. I see so many new members and newbies posting here. Welcome to CB everyone.

Nandy, even I didn't like the scene of charan washing, felt too filmy. I agree they seem to have forgotten about Guman. I was thinking the same when both VC was saying Nandu ke ghar mein. As for the scene I don't think this is it. I think we will get it in fb. My only wish is either Saras or Kumud remembers it and not from Guman's mouth. I don't think they will bring pregnancy in this.

Arshi has become popular and busy now :) After sometime we can't catch her. Happy for you Arshiji, your post are the best.

It is so deeply ingrained in a girl's psyche that pre marital sex is a sin, that it is hard to come to terms with it

She is pushing away the very feeling that caused her to lose control, she should have known better she feels

Now if we connect some more dots, social approval has always been high on her list - the whole proposal was a part of the same.

She is ashamed, because that is what is taught to girls , that it is shameful

Yes, if Guman keeps Saras away, cuts off contact, then rift created by guilt could become huge

One nasty fear since last night - could pregnancy become the reason for marriage to Pramad, don't kill me, just voicing my fears

That's correct Arshi...Haven't Cvs already put a relevant dialogue on Guniyal? That day she told Saras,"Woman brings you love, to shield/cherish is Man's duty." And Saras is fulfilling his part, why is she rescinding? Try him and then judge...perhaps she needs more assurance and he will not fall inadequate, I think. And that's where Guman will strike...
But what an upturn from the original!! Ok no more...

1st of all if i sound wierd today then dont bash me plzz ...kkk so cmng back for today's epi i'm with team kumud ..n her reactions too...cmmn guys we need to understand her ...what i thnk.she's not angry n saras...but on herself n her actions she did ...(u knw it). she may be feelng little bit scared for what happend( not guilty)...coz our society thnk 1 should be n limit n shuldnt crossed line before marriage n all...n that's why she is puzzled n thnk it too be sin..kumud is pride of parentsn family ..her parents trust her lot...n thnks that she wont do any thng like that at end of day its not boy but girl is blamed ...but their story is differnt n so their journey of love...

.but the way they both see their love is different n the way the society will c n judge is totally different n harsh.

.she know that she love saras..n their love is eternal but what...for saras he wont understand her feelings now for what happened.it will take tym...but i 'm sure he'll clear everythng..n will fully support her..n will gain her confidence n most important her faith in his love for kumud back again...

Arshiji,

Today, even the episode writers would not have been able to defend the episode as well as you did convincingly today.

My sympathies with them! First for disjointed sequence of events .(did anyone make out when was the wedding? Day or night?) secondly for second time this week precap was wrongly shown.

I will not judge someone's personal Lakshman Rekha of morality.
But for me, Kumud's character is about strength of her persona. She battles her fights fiercely, taking lead to move forward, whatever may be her circumstance. she leads Saras as well. I believe it is the same in book.. Why show your anger at Saras, for something which happened with your consent? These inconsistency in characterisation does not go well with me at least.

Now I hope writer's would bring that strength back to Kumud through Guniyal..

So let me share my view on this

She is the shaan of ratnanagri , she never does anything wrong

She is upheld as an ideal, an example, and today she is one who sinned in her eyes

And right now her guilt is very high.

She prided herself on always doing right, now she has committed what is considered the biggest sin

Lets cut her some slack here

@ bold - this is confusing me. Kumud told Saras 'where there is love, there is faith'. She does not doubt his love she claimed today.

I thought I had it figured out and Arshi' post confirmed it, I should step away from the thread for a while or I will be thoroughly confused.😆

@ Hotdogg - there goes your one full week of happiness. Sorry buddy.

Smrth, you talked about Kumud's blame in this - that's true isn't it, since her guilt is so high, she shouldn't have led him on, encouraged him, for every step he took, she too moved ahead

And if it is so wrong in her eyes, then she must be blamed for letting it happen

Since it was so right for Saras, then it is so unfair to him, it was consensual , she wanted it as much as him,

So yes, she is wrong but I get where all this is coming from.

Yes, I know what you are saying, but it was her social conditioning speaking

And since she this is her mental makeup, she should not have given in

It is only as wrong as you feel it to be!

And this is where she blames herself,

If she is so convinced that this is paap

Then she needed to stop her, and she blames herself

And I blame her too, as she finds it so wrong, she shouldn't have allowed it to happen

But as to what she should think so, I understand

See this is what my problem is: Social condition. I understand this and get it.

When Saras touched her waist first time, he felt guilty...well accepted by all of us. Their love was too young for any physical touch. At that time, even their emotional touch was young too.

But this time, when everyone agreed to their marriage, kissing Kumud's hand, Dugba said "they already are married", they both already accepted each other as soul mate (garland exchange)...why to feel guilty. Why not tell "social condition' that I am already married to this guy?

If she can't see in this way...then stop it right away...don't let Saras kiss her...don't let Saras come near to her...keep 4 kadam ki dooriya.

And on top of it, she blames Saras for this.

I really wish CVs could have shown her as dilemma and Saras explaining why this was pure as love...rather than she is (and will be tomorrow)...hysterically crying...What a way to end this weeks episode, sign!!! May be Dugba will make her understand!

Saras stole my heart today...he doesn't feel guilty but since Kumud is...he is taking blame on himself.
