No, I think Kumud chaid and meant Chavi, chavi means silhouette, or image

and what she was saying was that ypu have made an impression(image) not on water, that any ripples would disturb it, your impression is etched on my heart, and even I myself will not be able to erase it!!

She accepted that their love was inevitable, and she would never be able to stop loving him!

I was one who actually thought yesterday's episode was Too lovey-dovey, then I went back to rewatch after reading stuff here, and I couldnt stop! Dangerous place this is...šŸ˜†

Hi Happychappy,

You echoed my thoughts, 1st view was good but after reading comments from Arshi, Vaishali, smrth, kadal, hotdogg, humesha, shrusti reemz infofan ...(and all the girls, boys who commented in this thread)... watched again itwas bindblowing... indeed Dangerous... I am addicted to this thread ...

I was and want to enjoy all the samudh love , passion moments as long as possible...

oh lord, that 2nd Kiss by Saras near mirror was ozing of love , passion, ... and what expressions by GR... it was as if Saras was smooching kumudh... the Sp Nuns are very strict, so SLB and Cvs are trying to entertain us in a different way ... i will stop now... after watching yests epi , I am not in a position to comment, put my thoughts or think straight ...
Samudhs love scenes were ethereal

Before this thread becomes old hat, I want to thank Arshi for bringing that song into her post and placing it in the SC context for all of us!

Because Hindi is not my first language, I am guilty of of listening to old songs for their melody and pay less attention to the beauty of the lyrics as that takes more attention, and sometimes even recourse to the dictionary if there are too many words 😊 of Urdu origin. Thanks for prodding my memory in the right direction...😊 in the most enjoyable way!

Consequently the person who loves more sacrifices more and is somewhat subservient to the needs of the dominant partner...And this with all factors being equal i.e. you think you love each other the same...more of a subconscious behaviour..

@hotdogg, this line " the person who loves less is the dominant because he/she has less to lose.", if we compare it with the current scenario I will almost say it is Saras who has more to lose when compared to Kumud. He has never had anyone to love him nor had anyone to love, so Kumud should be the centre of his universe. As you say Kumud is definitely the person who has fallen in love with him many times but isn't it because she cared for him from the start, seeing his eyes she wanted to share his pain whereas Saras has fallen in love with her after coming here and knowing her. She has given him a new life and losing her would be the worst that could happen to him. Maybe for now we can say she loves him more, I feel it is only because she is mature in understanding love but I feel it is not still time to say he will be the dominant partner here.

@kaadal
sorry I missed responding to this...
my bet is still on kumud..refer her dialogue...
Tum toh dil tod ke bhi dekh chuke ho
Pyaar tab bhi kum nahi hua

kumud fell in love with saras (or at least the idea of saras as the love of her life) from the very beginning when she had the dream...she was convinced the person with the eyes is her true love...she agrees for the marriage just by seeing his eyes...

that went for a toss when saras refused and in the entire track which happened later...she had just buried her feelings deep and refused to even consider the possibility...what i am saying is that her love was unconditionally present from the beginning, buried and now out again...she took so many hits (the dialogue), yet continued to love him..
saras did not love her unconditionally, he made her run through the paces, refused to acknowledge (for the right reason because of his childhood trauma)...but his love was slightly conditional...even now he gets angry when she simply refuses to get jealous...imagine his reaction if she pulled a stunt like he did...
while its early days...kumud will end up sacrificing more just because she loves him more...and that's the way it goes in the novel too...
but this is a good hypothesis to park for now and evaluate as we progress further...

Yes Kumud's love has been unconditional but as you said Saras has been struggling from start due to his past. And till now I have only felt it is because of the difference between a man and a woman, men don't know how to show their emotions properly and woman knows very well how to. I agree his reaction will be horrible like he himself says if anyone goes near Kumud but that is not because he loves her less, it is because he is a man. As for Kumud sacrificing more, have we heard of men sacrificing, very rare and that too somehow I feel she will do for her family sake. But as you said let us park it for now but it would be really interesting to see if she does it for love, then maybe we can measure who loves the other more :) If that happens I would have to think of why this novel was called Saraswathichandra.

She indeed soothed him, pacified him, and freed him of all his perturbations with such calmness and patience ...like a mother would soothe her perplexed child.. Vintage Bhansali romance..The gratitude in his eyes when she empties her hand to wear the bangles from him was so beautifully portrayed..The kiss on her wrist looked like he worshipped her..I don't know what element of romance is this..but it brings tears to my eyes.. the scene ending with her teasing him with the compliment and then splashing water playfully both laughing, was like a happy ending to short story in itself...it felt that complete..

P.S- Great thread as usual Arshi !!!!

And so stays the End. Amen!

That day, when S was stamped on her palm, what were Cvs trying to show? She rushed to her Gods. She was euphoric. Her palm upturned and she was imbibing a feeling. That man, his essence, was captured and installed as integral part of herself...So what difference would it make to her now, whether she is physically involved or renounced. For her, he has been 'imprinted' on her self, not palm, forever.

True smrth, just as she said that his chavi is in her heart and not on the water, so is his name imprinted on her soul, and not just her palm

The way she has accepted him completely and surrendered herself to him, they are one already

Everything else is but a consequence of their love for each other!
