After his outburst, emanating from a panicky insecurity, she soothed him peaceful -removing last vestige of that insecurity'at the pond, like those lotus, she was a life balm to him; calm, serene and patient...She was a repose that he can safely anchor his entire life.
I purposefully avoided visiting the forum today or commenting on any post..coz whatever spare time I got , I din't want to, for the first time, write or analyse anything ..just wanted to soak in the beauty of the episode as much as I could.. but these lines here by Smrth, again so beautifully worded, got me all excited to say something.. She indeed soothed him, pacified him, and freed him of all his perturbations with such calmness and patience ...like a mother would soothe her perplexed child.. Vintage Bhansali romance..The gratitude in his eyes when she empties her hand to wear the bangles from him was so beautifully portrayed..The kiss on her wrist looked like he worshipped her..I don't know what element of romance is this..but it brings tears to my eyes.. the scene ending with her teasing him with the compliment and then splashing water playfully both laughing, was like a happy ending to short story in itself...it felt that complete..
P.S- Great thread as usual Arshi !!!!
