When he came to know she is widow he wanted to marry her without any pre conditions but Kumud refused and took his promise to marry her sister Kusum if he truly had loved her ever as she had duties to take care of her dead husbands house. I do not like the fact that just because someone loves you unconditionally you emotionally blackmail him like Kummud to marry your sister what sort of love is that?
So SC is surely a eternal lover cannot say the same of Kumud. May be she was bound by society norms like Paro in devdas

u know it all.and all so right...i too naver like the way kumud always took promices from saras ...just coz the poor boy loved her too much...

kumud was always bound by society in novel and always went by it ...cant blame her ...even today its same foe women...but why blackmail ur lover ...if he wants to be a social worker whats wrong in it ...is marrying so important...come on marraige is not the end of the world...instead it is the most petty thing when he comes to love and social work...

..lovers dont always need to marry

and u dont need to marry and then do social work

being single is no sin ok !!!

yes i always feel that ok fine kumud does not want to marry him and rejected his proposal its OK but why force a person to marry another girl when he does not want to. This is like taking advantage of his love for you. And marry whom none other than your younger sister in that way saras will stay related to your family and you know he will take care of them for life because he loves you and they are related to you. I did not like that part of the novel ending. By this neither saras nor kusum will be happy for rest of their life.
Either Kumud marry him and start a revolution of widow remarriage OR let him do what he wants remain single. Who knows in future he may find a better soulmate that kusum? But blackmailing him that if he loves her he should marry her sister not done in these times atleast. Hope they change ending.

^Though Kumud was wrong in convincing Saras to marry Kusum, you can't completely leave Saras blameless. He did leave her in the first place, regardless of his excuse.

In the novel, Kumud accepts it but I don't think she will be shown accepting in the show.

The real story is what i am talking off. This serial story has been messed up by writers badly they should have followed the novel only not made a mess of it. The message of novel is getting distorted in this serial. In this serail nothing indicates eternal love from their action. So what if he leaves to dubai if love is eternal nations do not matter, they will get together again.
Haven't we heard people waiting for their lost love for many years or lovers staying apart but still in love.

Sorry yaar. Not agree with your point. To me, they are eternal and their love is eternal.

The serial is not anything close to the novel and won't end the same way. Fans will send it to the bin if the cvs take that direction. As for eternal lovers, it does not mean being physically present to love someone eternally. Two people who have just realised their love for each other cannot at the drop of a hat forget their parents whom they have loved since their birth. Being eternal lovers, does not warrant hanging on each others words, and fighting duels etc. It can also mean being away from each other even in anger but still not being able to live without the thought of your beloved. Ego does not stop someone from loving, it may blind you for a moment but not at every instant.

I wasn't going to comment, but ... I need to address your logic politely.
So, let me address what you said about Qubool Hai. Firstly, I watch it. Secondly, so Asad is ALWAYS lovey-dovey with Zoya???!!!! He's always an eternal lover??? Their love story is bipolar and switches daily, for heaven's sake 😕. I agree he loves her, but he's got a long way to go if he is called an "eternal lover".

Secondly, IPK. Same thing. Arnav took time. ONLY IN THE END were they called eternal lovers. Why??? There was GROWTH in the show! It took him MONTHS to confess!

And Geet? I don't watch it, but I heard Maan didn't be an eternal lover to Geet until they went through misunderstandings and troubles.

For people to be eternal lovers, they need to undergo periods of trouble. Love grows through this. Saras and Kumud need to grow.

Have patience. Remember, tough spots make relations go stronger.

SaMud are initially budding their love, it will take time. IPK, Qubool Hai are no different.
