'caring only about yourself and your own needs'. This is how Google defines egoistic. Now would u care to explain to me which act of Saras makes him an egoistic moron?

Wait wait I'll start u off.

1) He came to Kumud's house for HER sake, cuz she asked him too.
2) He took blame for Yash's acts, for KUMUD and her FAMILY sake.
3) He went to jail for KUMUD nd her FAMZ sake.
4) He stood up to Kumud nd co for his DAD'S sake.

Oops wait those actions would describe Saras as the complete opposite of the egoistic definition.😲 Weird eh 😕

Hmmm.. judging by the 80+ comments, I'm pretty sure it's very hectic in this thread, but I really feel like adding my two cents too!

To start, I would like to go into depth with the fight scene between Saras and Kumud while they were protecting their fathers. If you'd look carefully into this scene, you'd notice that it has a very different feel to it, even though it's quite heated. Did you see how, when Saras shouted "Kumud!" she still stood strong, but she held her breath and looked very shaken up. She was not only slightly afraid, but you could see the hurt flash in her eyes because Saras shouted at her. And, really, judging what we know about Kumud so far, would she really get so shaken up over the fact that someone, besides maybe her father, mother or Dukhbaa raised their voice at her? I think that would be very out of character for her. So, the fact that it was Saras who raised her voice at her, and the fact that she had gotten so afraid because of it hold great significance.
Furthermore, when she promised Saras that woh jawab dehkar hi rahegi, there was a flash of hurt in his eyes too. You could almost see a "please don't do this" in his eyes (bang on acting by Gautam for that, by the way.. I really don't know how he does it!) Their eye lock at the end of the fight scene was not only heated, but it was full of hurt. And not just hurt for their father's, but they were genuinely afflicted by each other. And they are connected by this feeling of affliction only they would be able to manage. There was a very soulful tension between them.

My point? Eternal lovers and star crossed lovers are two different things. I could give you a dictionary reference, but really, who has time for that? Since the start, Saras and Kumud have been hurting each other in ways where they are not only afflicted because of their circumstances, but because of each other. And it is the same case when they are not arguing. They stand up for each other, get physically, mentally, and emotionally hurt or ecstatic/happy because of each other. They are connected. And this connection, this spark is really all that is needed initially to be in the process of eternal love. Yes, even though it's been almost three months, this is still pretty kacha love. But just because a flower is budding, doesn't mean it is less significant and less beautiful than a fully grown flower. It just needs time to reach that stage... but it'll get there. And I have no doubt SaMud will be the same! 😊

So, let me address what you said about Qubool Hai. Firstly, I watch it. Secondly, so Asad is ALWAYS lovey-dovey with Zoya???!!!! He's always an eternal lover??? Their love story is bipolar and switches daily, for heaven's sake😕. I agree he loves her, but he's got a long way to go if he is called an "eternal lover".

Secondly, IPK. Same thing. Arnav took time. ONLY IN THE END were they called eternal lovers. Why??? There was GROWTH in the show! It took him MONTHS to confess!

And Geet? I don't watch it, but I heard Maan didn't be an eternal lover to Geet until they went through misunderstandings and troubles.

For people to be eternal lovers, they need to undergo periods of trouble. Love grows through this. Saras and Kumud need to grow.

Have patience. Remember, tough spots make relations go stronger.

SaMud are initially budding their love, it will take time. IPK, Qubool Hai are no different.

The couple of asad/zoya were never promoted as eternal lovers!! plus I feel a lot more love when I watch them onscreen

no one in this world is free of ego! Doing good deeds for others doesn't make u free of ego! Both KUMUD and SARAS are very much egoistic! They cannot see beyond their pride and families
