Gautam is very nice and professional with his co-stars. Jenny's style is more formal...make that very formal. Maybe it is because she's newly wed and worried about the media writing crap as they do about everyone. But please be friend-ly if not friends. If you are so serious all the time, it will make your co-star uneasy and this is coming from a very serious person. There's nothing wrong with friendship. If you are ill-at-ease, it shows in interviews. Professionalism only goes so far. You two are already so great on screen being strangers, imagine how good it will be if you were more friendly.
I say this as no criticism. I am just saying that I observed in the interviews. Jenny is very very nice but she keeps quite distant from her co-star and the media. While introverted, she's not naturally this quiet or aloof. And no, I have not seen her past shows but I have seen her with other co-stars.
With the media, it makes sense as they make up a lot of stories, linking co-stars, etc. So, I am not suggesting they are friends for the SBS/SBB interviews. But Gautam is so nice, mature and professional. Be a little more friendly with him please, it will make the performance better.
*** While I expected controversy and disagreement, I do not like the attitude I am seeing with some members here. I am not advising here, I am saying as a viewer what I see - which makes this an opinion. A commentary in a forum. I am not proposing pretend friendship or fake closeness. Acting for introverts and people who are very formal is very painful within themselves even if they appear great on screen. As a well-meaning viewer, I am encouraging some positivity. I am presenting my point of view. Work is always work and I have found it in my experience more comfortable when things are a little friendly. What I am saying is that the tabloid media is the real trouble putting people on guard. There is no unfriendliness/issues with either actor.
