I think I can pretty safely say that I never seen this kind of protectiveness from one lead towards the other. Kumud is becoming so adamantly protective about Saras that I almost fear her condition when their impending separation arrives. The funny thing is that she can say whatever she wants to Saras because she already feels that right over him. She can argue with him, hurt him...push him in the mud if she wishes too but no-one else can say a word against him. It physically pains Kumud if anyone speaks against Saras whether it be the villagers, that two-faced kaki or even the person closest to her, Dukh-Baa. It only makes sense really because if a person like Saras was to fall in love, it had to be with someone who shows him unconditional love to the extreme. She makes him feel important, as if his emotions are the only thing that matter to her.
Today, apart from helping Saras out secretly, her expressions seeing his attempts to sell the pots told a story. First she was amused at his tactics to sell, she gave a sarcastic thumbs up 🤣 but when the villagers started taunting him, she couldn't handle it. At the end of the day when Saras hands her the money, you can tell how touched Kumud was- she feels at one with him. All because she can read his eyes. Not just read but she feels his pain. He won't express it but it translates in to physical torture for her. Soulmates they are :)
