This being SLB creation, I expected more - he picked a classic but the modernization effort has botched it up

Vaishali, while i see the logic in your points, I am not very convinced about the way it is being handled, so I share my POV.

No problem :)) Just a few things I would like to clarify.. I think I have already discussed in detail with Jammy about the whole punishment thing.. Its unfair but 9-10 times judicial system is unfair in our country where accused with prima facie evidences get aquitted and innocent get punished.. This is just a village..anyway! coming to LN giving money/house back to VC , the whole point is he will NOT accept anything from his friend. VC treaTs LN like his own brother, so when he mortaged his house to lend him money, for him its like giving something to his own brother which he will never take back..Dint LN say that to Guman? Think you missed it.. So LN finds another way to pay him back.. He bought the house from the man who had the mortagaged house so that VC's money doesnt go in foreign hands but is invested in a company that belongs to Desai family.. His intentions are good but it will backfire..Anyway thats all I have to say!! About Kumud's clothes, that depends on perception and this has been discussed extensively in the forum..more than required..While some object to it, some including myself find it very pretty..suits her ! Not sure why I am discussing her clothes on this topic though :P

But yaara, VC is under constant pressure of meeting the installments every month. Remember Guniyal said how scared she gets everytime that sethji shows up? Its cruel to let him think that his house is still mortgage.

About him not accepting the house back from LN, I agree he wouldn't take it back just like that but he could've saved the money and make him believe that you have actually paid back for your house. That would've been a better option. The route LN has gone, VC has neither the house and the money he has been paying is also going to a waste. Its going to backfire big time.

And now Gumaan goes ahead with her plan? She plans to keep this a secret? How can such a powerful bussinessman doesn't know what is happening with his properties?

But I've seen worse things, things that don't make sense at all in the TV land.

Clothes - no probs per se, she looks pretty, but I dragged it in becos it's a part of the logic thing for me, 😊

The worst thing about a serial is viewer indifference , not even expecting any sense from it. As long as we care, we expect, we demand, debate and argue.

Few things consistent in every desi soap are lack of logic, messed up timelines and continuity issues sometimes under the excuse of creative liberties. The CV of a popular show tells the very audience that made his show successful to use the remote if they dont like what they see!! The channel meddles with the script to bring in regressive or cliched changes in the name of TRPs. What choice does the viewer have? Complacency and indifference has set in among the CVs, PH, channel and the viewers.

Gautam mentioned in a recent interview that they have no bank of episodes left, They shoot for an episode that airs in a day or two. That effects the quality of the product too. I agree with @ svmi, this is old wine in a new bottle. I expected a big banner such as SLB to handle their product better that too when they have been planning this over a year.

I am dreading the day the show gets SPfied and they start making changes in the script for TRPs. You might remember how that went for another show recently😉

On another note, I wonder how popular this show is in India? I have not paid attention to the TRPs.

Here on IF, I read several members complaining about the pace and intensity. Personally, I dont mind the pace and the intensity and for now I am completely ignoring the logic defying bits. Its slow but they are showing things systematically, not jumping from one track to another with tons of loopholes and no closure for any of them. Already a number of people are staying away from the show because they are anticipating a tragic end like in the original novel. Most folks dont want to emotionally invest in a show, get attached to the characters, sit through the rona dhona and not see the leads together eventually.

I just started watching SC. I am ignoring everything else for now and just enjoying the romance.

I did not understand this house thing at all, can you explain it to me?

Vidya mortgaged his house

It is owned by LN

VIdya has been paying every month to LN

If he has started a small business with that money,

That's his option

If that business bombs, the house is still with LN

LN is rich enough, that business collapsing will not collapse LN empire

It will be LNs turn to pay back!

Lets just say that LN who now is a multi millionare doesnt understand what VC has to go though to pay the debt... Surounded by riches and luxury and not having visited the village for years he is unaware of the extent of the problem..LN being a businessman thinks like a businessman.. He thinks investing in a company is a better idea..LN's character is yet not fully explored so I will reserve my judgement on him.. Cheating on his first wife, neglected his own son, marrying some1 like Guman, abandoning his home in India.. he doesnt have a good track record to support his sense of right and wrong, fair n unfair..right? :)) Coming to Guman, I have not seen the full episode yet so cant comment..But yes LN has been fooled by her once, infact all this while.. so I wont put it past him if he gets fooled again.. We have read about women who by their power n seduction, rule kingdoms and make men dance to their tunes.. no? :)
