Saraswatichandra till now -

Points in favour -

Gautam is great

Jen is good

Romance and chemistry - not bad

Baki sab ?

Logic ki vaat

Vaat number 1

1. The village widow is a young woman is forced to accommodate in her house a man the village

believes to be of disreputable character

2. Instead of asking the wealthy "convict" to compensate for the loss of her cow, many times over

He must live in her house, earn with his hands at a trade he is not equipped for , and scrimp and

scrape to buy her a cow, thus keep her family at starvation edge for days and months

3. The poor widow must see the face of the man she hates, face the indignity of being at his mercy

day after day for mere crumbs of food, instead of swiftly ensuring her future through intermediaries,

and not making her feel helpless and dependent on a "criminal"

Yeh kaisa insaaf Sanjay ji?

Vaat number 2

1. Vidya mortgages his house for Lakshmi

2. Lakshmi doesn't offer to pay it back in the name of Dosti

3. He buys the haveli, lets Vidya pay the installments, collects them and starts a business in Kumud's

name

4. So far ok, he should have insisted to returning the money to Vidya - he is a man of means now, par chalo koi nahi

5. Even if this business dooms, how can it ruin Vidya?

6. The haveli is in Lakshmi's name now

7. He is extremely wealthy

8. He started the business, if it bombs, the liability is his

9. One small business failing will not make a dent in Lakshmi's fortunes

10. So why will it make Vidya homeless?

11. Completely flawed logic here

Completely flimsy unconvincing reasons to

1. Keep Saras in ratnanagri

2. Make Vidya homeless

Apart from good Chanku chemistry and romance, nothing makes sense

Njoy!!!

if u r trying to find logic in indian daily soaps then u shud not be watching them, i have yet to come across a serial that is close to reality and makes sense! close to reality and making sense type serials are a few old indian and pakistani soaps that had some class..these days their main focus is entertainment at any cost and once the serial gets a good response initially, the makers wud like to stretch it to maximum number of years! whereas, i believe in short and making sense type serials! only one serial that i can came across which is not so old is kismat, it is close to reality and was done in few months even though it got a good response! if the serial is stretched to 1000 episodes a lot of things will not make sense..my advice is focus on good things and enjoy the roller coaster ride of romance in the serial!

Good point, but dear commenting on what makes sense and what doesn't is part of the enjoyment !

Enjoying the romance, but little else, Dukhba is too loud, the repentance track is flimsy

Good post. There was another good post about the confusing timeline by MaryBarton too. I am surprised that a show produced by SLB has done total itna logic ki vaat. Apparently they have researched for a year before they started shooting.😕

Enjoying the romance wonly. Bas keh diya😆 If I am here 6 months from now, I will be shocked.

I am inclined to agree with you, came here becos of SLB, so expected a better story

He also has made a regular soap, nothing exceptional till now, except the chemistry of the lead pair

Nice post. Oh boy did we expect logic? or should we expect logic. To me SC is proving to be old wine in new bottle. Better cameras and locales etc but same cliched scenes and no logic

The woman who never asks for help from Saras today asked him to come hold her bags. She could have kept the bags down herself!! 😕 But then we wouldnt have got our 'moment'

My point exactly! Made a post yesterday regarding this:

So VidyaChatur takes a loan against his family home FOR Laxminandan.

LN obviously prospered in life and established a hugeee business. On the other hand, VC pays a certain amount EVERY month. The man is under constant pressure to keep the house from the last 25 years!

What has happened to the money VC pays every month? It's been invested in a company for Kumud. Well it's a good thought but it's not in the favor of VC.

Imagine your house papers are with someone and they will claim the house IF you miss even one payment! The constant pressure of that. And plus this is a family home!

LN will surely not let it come to that but I would rather tell VC that dude you don't need to worry yourself with the installments.

At the end of the day VC lost his home because LN has bought it and the money that he used to give as installments is lost too because of the business failing. Where does this leave VC??

About Saras staying at the widow's house- isn't the panchayat supposed to ask the victim what punishment they want to give?
Me not understanding but then again trying to find logic in Indian soaps is a waste of time.
