Chapter 1 : The Paayal that kills
He had just arrived at the most Rural village in Gujarat Searching for his Vidyut Kaka.the person who had changed the young boy who played around, who just wept for small reasons, who was lost in his own small world To Sarawathichandra Vyas. For him, Kaka was like God , a fatherly figure . And knowing that his Kaka, the man who he respected more than anything was ill and was bed ridden made him leave all his work and come running towards his Kaka.
getting down from the bus he casually pulled his rucksack up on his shoulders and pulled the trolley bag slowly through the muddy ground. The hot sun made him sweat like hell and the swat of perspiration shined like diamonds on his masculine face.
As soon as he got down and started walking the people around him just gazed at him in a dazed way.. cause such a handsome guy was never seen in that village ever. Girls and women standing near the well started giggling and blushing when he passed by. but he was oblivious to all the Looks, the stares, the attention he was getting. His mind was just fixed on One thing: seeing his Kaka.
As he looked around , he found that the place had not at all changed. He spotted the temple that had been his favorite hideout place, the mango tree that was his favorite hangout place. Children were still playing on it and the childhood memories brought a small smile on his face. He prayed silently hoping that his Kaka too hadnt changed and he will be better soon.
Finding his way to the 'Vidya Niketan' was not a big task for him cause he still remembered the small gali that led from the temple to the Mansion, the small daisy plants that bloomed on the roadside.
He pushed the gate open and stepped inside the mansion with tears in his eyes . Seeing the place made him remember all the happenings that made him leave his Home.. He took a deep breath and shook all the memories deep down his mind and rang the bell .
As he was about to ring the bell for the second time, he heard a sound.. that was soo musical.. that touched his mind.. that made him draw himself away from the door and made him want to follow that heavenly Musivcal sound Of the paayal that made him feel complete! As he was desperately searching for the source of the sound the sound of the paayal just smothered down and suddenly he saw Maasimaa standing in front of him.
A perplexed Saras who was still thinking about the mysterious Paayal..answered to the questioning look on maasi's face..
'MaasiMaa. Mein Saraswathichandra hoon.. Aapka Saras..'
