I just found this thread today! It such a brilliant idea! Those who are not familiar with Gujarati will get to learn something and even those who are gujurati like me can improve their Gujarati! 😊 I especially need this because I live in Canada and we don't get to practice a lot like those who live in India!

Kai po chhe = I've cut it. It's a phrase used in regard with Uttarayan only. When we cut someone's kite with our maanjha (thread) that's what people shout :)

He must not know how to fly kites = Aene patang udaavta nai aavadti hoy.

I will win = hu aj jeetish.

I can be a challenge for him anyday = I don't know the literal translation of challenge but this is how the sentence would look otherwise:

Hu aena maate kyaare pan challenge bani shaku chhu.


P.S - You have to understand these phrases may not be shuddh gujarati. But it's what my friends and I talk like. A lingo of sorts if you will. Hope I helped :)

It all to do with accents and dialects I suppose! I somehow say it slightly different hu khotu nathi bolti is I am not lying well that's how I say it! 😆
