Well everyone has their opinions...I am finding her perfect for the role, ...although I have not seen her before, JW is the new name for me. Some times i feel we as viewers form opinions quite early without giving actors some time...though in JW case i think she is bang on since the very first day...Las but not the least I look more towards the whole package, especially story...and how it is developed..so nothing bothers me...completely enjoying the show!!!

I agree with u 100%! I have been trying so hard to like JW as Kumud, have really not seen any of her previous shows, but still I feel that she is misfit for Kumud. As, someone said, I can her playing as a modern woman, but nope this is really not working with me...:((..On the show as a whole, with all the buzz that was created, it failed to impress me atleast apart from the grandeur, and the beautiful sets...JW as Kumud is not connecting with me at all, and if the lead actor itself isn't connecting with me, I find it hard to watch the show...I like Monica Bedi, she really did surprise with her talent as an actor, and Saras's father too. These two are the only ones I can say that I really think are able to act naturally. JW's emotional scenes as Kumud is a total turn off with me. She really sounds fake for some reason. Well, atleast I tried this show for 2 weeks, am not sure if I will regularly follow it in the future, maybe occasionally.

You know these kinds of posts creates unnecessary fights and everyone just gets involved and it just becomes a complete mess! However, i do respect your opinion but i feel this show involves more of feelings and thoughts and emotions which i feel Jennifer is doing a great job at! Her expressions are right on and i feel she is just perfect for this role. Again this is my opinion but Jennifer is amazing and she is doing an amazing job! The show just started! Give it some time and you guys will get used to her :)

Also, dont get me wrong, but I feel that leads have also been cast to cache on their rising popularity.. SLB's first venture.. - They are not experimenting just to be on safe side... IMO.

to be very honest i don't watch the shows you've mentioned above, but i do get a vibe that these are the kind of shows that emphasize on overt display of sighs and heaving and over dramatic antics ... i honestly don't see any differences in any of these shows ... i do believe SP doesn't experiment as much ... SGP was an exception and that did work wonders but the rest all seem the same ... coming back to SC if I wasn't a fan of the leads i would've said the exact same things about this show as well. The scenes between Gumaan and her sister and all the "damad ji" scenes are enough to support my point.

I find her to be perfect for the role. Like a previous person said, she looks very real in her acting. Many actors display over-acting in scenes where as Jennifer has restraint and acts naturally. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but there's a reason SLB went back to Jennifer after going through many actresses and just finding them unfit for the role.

I have to agree with you...

I think Gautam Rode was apt for his role as SC.

I am still skeptical about JW... There's something lacking in her emotional scenes.

And when Saras and Kumud are in the same frame, Saras looks younger...maybe she just needs some good makeup...
